another bad shot at 3:55 by melo and saved by prigioni. you can't get that many assists if you are shooting that many bad shots. and thanks to prigioni he gets a clean look. the prigioni offensive rebound will be forgotten of course.

Curious to see what Phil will do with Melo. I think he is an easier fix than Kobe. Kobe is a loose cannon.

that is efficient scoring but against a pacer or heat team he is not going to help his team win.

tomorrow morning we should look at basketballreference.com and see what his usage and and assist rate is. my guess based on the eye test is that the ratio will remain 2:1 or greater. around 34% and 16%

that is counterproductive.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

He has had far worse games. This was not even that bad.

Don't know why he rarely head fakes his defender.

His defense and rebounding looked strong tonight.

Its all about assists for him. If he passes more he will/can be near top 5. If he doesn't, 12-15.

Crush, think about it, how much better would he be without those shots? They are so painful to watch and he can be so much better/smarter.

It is a bit frustrating.

so "a win is a win"? the knicks looked great early on and built a lead with great ball movement and only 3 bad shots by melo during that time.

we talking a rondo-less celtic team and sub-par defenders covering melo. you think lebron and paul george and haslem and batter are going to provide melo with looks? please wake the **** up

A rondoless celtic team beat us by 40. So yes. A win is a win. However, we do need to learn from our mistakes and I agree that if we made the playoffs, those contested chucks by Melo (AND JR!!) are extremely painful and we can't win that way.
