“We've got to get better, more committed players. And when we do, all of us Knicks fans are going to be happier.”

What is this "We" business? http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/knicks/post/_/id/54474/jvg-blame-it-on-the-roster

Dolan doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who let's go of grudges...To put it mildly.

yeah, well it just sounds weird. Saying "they" need to get better would have gotten it done

Dolan has that rich pride....It's sprayed on pretty thick. Dolan is also unpredictable, so at this point, nothing he does will surprise me.

I underrated JVG as a coach, and I always thought those teams were borring on the offensive end, but nasty on defense. But now I wish we could have those years back again. Loved the no layup rules.....JVG was good at getting the best out of his players. We may have lacked in team skills, but made up for it with individual effort, and was able to compete with the best of them. Seems like all the good coaches or good GM's we get always clash with Dolan. It's the yes men that survive, eventhough their record is turrble....

I never thought I would say this, but we need JVG back....I'll even take Mark Jackson. Give me anybody from the old knick era, thats not affraid to challenge Dolan.

I hear you but its impossible... it like being in a corporate environment and fighting that beast. You just cant change the culture. No coach can. They ended paying Larry Brown, one of the best BB minds ever what? $30mm to just go away didnt they?

God I would love to know what really went on then... but obviously things went bad and he treated the thing like a joke to make his points. Remember the starting guys in towns where they lived or once played?

Dolan has tons of loyalty to the people who are his guys. Woody fired his long time agent who MSG didnt like. Maybe Woody is one of Dolan's guys now. Who knows... but even a GM wasnt able to fix this... he got sent packing also!

Keeping it real Jeff Vandummy as a head coach is like a professor who teaches about the stock market but is still broke.

He knows what what needs to be done, be he himself couldn't do it or demand that kind of respect after he left the knicks. He's a great assistant , but that's about it.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

I think stan the man van gundy would be good here. Dunno how that would fly. Stan is a beast towards the media.

He studied the game to the fullest and rode what he knew in the NBA as long as he could, that being said Jeff will never coach in the association again.

I never said he couldn't "ATTEMPT" to coach again.

Ask playa what stocks to buy then short them. He's that reliable when making predictions.

Jeff Vandummy is a younger Mike Fraetello he's an assistant at best. Jeff was exposed after he left the knicks.

exposed? he had a 56% winning% with houston and won 52 games on his way out...

He had a veteran roster just like he had with the knicks, but he couldn't coach offense and came to his senses and used the family man excuse (which I respect ) to quit coaching. Then Jeff proceeded to go back traveling on the road as an announcer and make NBA commercials. LOL

He did what was politically correct and left while winning a lot of games as you say (56) but that's about all he would ever accomplish as a head coach. Limited offensively
