This is getting ridiculous. The 2 pg system worked last yr but NOT this yr. Start Prigs and have Felton back him up. Starting Felton is making him a sg which he sucks as. He is a worse sg than a pg which is pretty bad. Hardaway should be the sg on this team for the next 10 yrs, its time to give him more experience so he will be even better for next yr. I don't want to see Felton take an outside shot ever again. He can't shoot. Please someone tell clueless Woodson. This season is lost, lets start looking for the future.

Defense can be learned. If a player is athletic he can learn defense. Its when a player isn't athletic that is when it becomes difficult to play defense. Defense is more a mindset.

Yes but the best way to learn is by exposure. Its not like the Knicks are going anywhere this is perfect opportunity to get max exposure.

I think they are... not starting THjr per say, but dumping MWP and Beno for call ups to me says they are looking for cheap guys to make the team for next year.

Agreed he has a lot to learn on defense but as he gets experience, matures and fills out he will get better. Also its not like Felton is good on defense himself. Felton sucks on D, especially if Felton is guarding sg's or pg's or anyone

Yes I agree I think I worded that wrong. I want thjr on the court as much as possible to get better defensively , which he will with more playing time

Its a process. Its about building confidence. You cant speed that up.

His focus should be scoring off the bench. His shooting has tailed off bigtime. Get him shooting well again and feeling good about that. The rebounds and defense will come if he's willing. Its not the time to make him a more complete player, just an NBA player.

I really havevn't seen to many players develop into a better defensive player. Usually you are what your defensively, and i will use allan houston as a prime example, . He was a bad defender when he came in the league, and a below avg defender when he retired, the only thing that mask his defensive woes, was the fact that he played with 6 very good defenders at all times as a knick.

Offensively is different, it's much more easier to learn how to shoot, finish layups, and develop foot work. His father was a solid defender from day 1

You would be wrong. Tim Haraway is. Yes, the D is missing. He is a young pup though so he gets a little pass but he is not untouchable just like Courtney Lee wasn't untouchable after his rookie year.

C'mon this guy needs to play. Fish, you really want Felton at this point starting ahead of Hardaway. I know u think of him only as a setup outside shooter, which I disagree, but really Felton ahead of him???

I wouldn't mind seeing them give it a trial run, might also light a fire under some vets. As far as defense, you can get better, I know this from my own experience. THJ's biggest problem is his lateral movement IMO. He needs to get into better shape and work on improving that first quick move to the left or right when the ball carrier tries to blow by him. Also needs to do a better job of anticipating what the ball carrier will do. Its about effort and conditioning more than anything.

I want to groom THjr the right away. We have him on the shump schedule. Looks great, phuck him up, turn him into a throw in

Throwing a young guy out to take his lumps isnt setting him up for success. Lets find a role he can thrive in. 20 minutes off the bench its easier to hide your shortcomings. 30+ minutes hes really getting exposed.

That's a good point about possibly overwhelming THJ but he seems like he is confident enough that it won't send him into a tailspin if its too much too soon. Some rooks couldn't handle it. I think his recent play is more about the rookie wall, and Hardaway starting to get a rep in this league. Teams are noticing.

Hardaway has done well. I mean he has had a rough 2-3 games but i dont think its panic time. Im more concerned with our point guard who is a d-leaguer on any other team
