Assuming Kidd does opt for surgery, which he seems to be leaning towards, Stephon is a favorite to replace him. does this do any good for knicks? no i don't think so. A) Marbury is a guy we want for 40 mins a night. summer is his only chance to really rest and recover from a long and brutal season. Maybe you can offset this by saying we didn't go deep in the playoffs and Stephon is getting two more months of rest than detroit or indiana and sacramento. Plus he's still young at 27. B) He could get injured and we're screwed. This is offset by possibly getting a top pick, but thats scant concilation. C) He gets shot or blown up in the multiple terrorist attacks that could be waged against the olympics this summer . We'd get insurance but that would sure suck. The downside clearly outweighs the upside in any one of those scenarios.

Your right if you say that the Knicks might get problems with an overplayed Steph. But its not like an Fun Tournament, its an honour for Steph to represent his Country at this stage.

I have a aunt that used to live in those project buildings over there. I used to play there sometimes.....not in the Rucker tourney but just pick up ball. It's just a regular ghetto court....just souped up in the summer for the NBATV crowd. Just thought I'd say that for no real reason.
