That will help them on that 2nd unit--what is quite a trade there.

Pacers have 3 centers better than Tyson. Do they waive Mahini now?

Why do we never get these trades that are lopsided in our favor, every other team gets at least one.

Melo, you only chance is to accept A LOT less money and sign with either Miami or Indiana...

Just amazing move, wow...

Because we have a history of panicking at the deadlines and trading each and every asset and pick for malcontents and injury riddled former stars. We are a punching bag for the rest of the league and everyone knows this

Next year Amare, Bargs, and Chandler will yield picks and players.

True, that hasn't worked out well for us in the past though. We don't have any assets to include with them to get a great player back to a team that needs to dump salary. A great player will cost more than just an expiring.

gunsnewing - LOL, yeah, and it is on his night table...

Not clear, but it seems like Granger's expiring was perfect because it allowed Philly to meet the NBA minimum salary floor. Anyone know anything about that?

They will not return picks for us. IF we trade them we will have to take back salary for summer of 2015. This WILL NOT happen. The plan is to have cap space for 2015 and not to trade for contracts that fill up that cap space unless it is a superstar.

It's not really important- I think I remember reading that if a team doesn't meet the minimum salary floor, they just end up paying the difference and it gets divided up between the players.

They must have sent out some picks, surely!

Exactly we've seen what kind of players you get for expiring contracts. The eddy curry types. Stay pat. 2015 or 2016
