Won't be room for all of these guys obviously, but I think any of these guys could help us the rest of this season into next year depending on roster space, who gets traded, who we can clear out, etc.:

Center
Justin Hamilton - best C in the DL, putting up close to 20/10 2blks per. Just put up 20 & 4 in the NBDL all-star game...Legit 7' 260. Real nice shooter for someone that big, converting on almost 38% from 3 in 69 attempts. 82% from the line (getting there almost 5x a game). Inside/outside scorer that can rebound, bang and clog the lane.
Marcus Cousin
Hilton Armstrong
Dewayne Dedmon
Jarvis Varnado

PF
Richard Howell
Jamelle Hagins - was in France, where is he now? Kenyon Martin-type game.

SF
Devin Ebanks - real smooth offensive game. Really looks confident - definitely taken his game to another level. Prior success with the Lakers.
Chris Wright

SG
DeQuan Jones - didn't put up big numbers in school, still isn't in the DL currently, but I continue to see ultra-high athleticism & upside. Above average skill-set right now.
BJ Young - could be close to Monta Ellis in the NBA with a true commitment from some NBA team. Why isn't this kid getting proper playing time in the DL? If I'm H2O, I'd try to acquire this guy for the Bayhawks.
Terrence Williams
Reggie Williams
Manny Harris
KC Rivers
Patrick Christopher
Tyler Brown

PG
Pierre Jackson - would require a trade but as far as I see, he's still our best option to improve at the point. If it goes nowhere then it goes nowhere but this is a definitely a guy we should be in on. MAKE AN OFFER!
Seth Curry - kid's a shooter but he handles & passes it better than you'd think.
Kalin Lucas - flying under the radar, this dude could be a real steady, well-rounded PG in the NBA.

For a team with no draft picks going into this summer, I would hope we have some of these guys in mind. To me, these players could essentially be viewed as draft picks anyway. These guys can all play, most have even taken their games to the next level over the last year or so. Quick example of the value here -- suppose we traded Chandler for either a draft pick(s) and/or help at other positions -- what if we brought in a center duo of Justin Hamilton/Marcus Cousin for next year? Think about how much better that actually is to what we have now. Both guys have real nice, well-rounded games. I mean to me, that's an above-average tandem at the 5 spot. I'd put money on it right now that both guys would be productive splitting time together...Gimme those 2 and I'm good at the 5 for next year, ready to focus my energy elsewhere. Some will say, 'it's not that simple' I'm sure. Why not? I'd actually be proactive and start the re-tooling process right now. Let's get some of these guys in here -- cut some of the dead weight if there aren't any minor trades to be made & start auditioning on 10-day contracts.

Good players but they'd be pretty hard to acquire, no? Each player's team would want a king's ransom in return. This Reggie Jackson is really starting to come into his own now...I'm talking about some young, afterthought-type prospects who still have nice upside. Guys that could legitimately fill holes and produce at the NBA level while remaining extremely cost-effective/cap friendly, provided their signings were done smartly (we've talked about this before: 2/3-yr deals for anyone who shows they fit & belong. Bridge the gap right to their early-Bird or Bird rights so WE have a chance to retain them long-term). Guys we could bring in right now just by making a phone call. Welcome to the board btw.

Center that I would consider in that conversation Fab Melo and Whiteside.

Good call. Last I read, Hassan Whiteside was ripping up China. Still the case? I really find Hamilton and Cousin intriguing because of their ability to shoot the basketball. That's rare for a 7 footer. To add two guys that could supply that as well as contribute on the glass---for peanuts---I find that favorable.

this is sad. lol. not youre post but the fact that were considering scrubs to help this team. smh

in my opinion, a team needs EARN getting upgraded. this team sucks and doesnt deserve to be upgrade. instead they need to focus on developing their youth (murry, tyler and timmy) and figure out what melo should do. i dont wanna see stat, kmart, artest, prigs or others get major minutes

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Great post. Adonis Thomas and tiny gallon are two guys I would add to the list. Thomas has looked really good in the couple of games I have seen him playin. Gallon has been playing really well and I have read that the sixers may sign him if they free up a roster spot. I really like deddmond and was surprised he didn't stick when he was called up. Also, I am glad the bayhawks trade for ty walker.

great list and totally agree
You know I really like Hagins though I don't think we currently need that position now, thought I would target him this off with a 2 year deal *team option*

I am not sure if Justin Hamilton right's are still own by Heat or not, I like Pierre Jackson the first day I saw him, and would have even reached for him with our pick or preferably trade down for him with one pick being a mid 2nd rounder so we can have a 3 year deal instead of only 2 year's so we wouldn't get a future poison pill

We need speed/quickness, players that can initiate a fast break for easy baskets, that has been our greatest flaw in addition to a PG that cannot stay in front of his man
Being able to push the tempo for easy transition baskets build confidence and not constantly playing vs a SET DEF, however, we don't have the players to do so
Next would be a SF that can play SF/PF with the size, athleticism, ability to rebound, play 1v1 DEF, and play good team defense with the mobility to needed with the size so Melo would get the easier match up
James Johnson was the perfect players to target in the off season and even in the regular season as he was playing great in the D league

Gallon had 27 and 7 against the Bayhawks on Tuesday. The kid is only 23 and has a freakish, Tyler like wingspan. Hope the Knick scouts checked him out. So many former McDonalds all americans that did the one and done and didn't make it in the league running in the d l. The Knicks need to be smart and scout the d l well.
