I've seen a ton of bad press so far but man, I can't figure it. Maybe it's my love for anything pirates, I dunno, but I couldn't wait for this to start and think it's delivering the goods so far... Great acting, strong characters that are being properly developed (they're anything but cookie cutter--I've read that critique and think it's absurd), beautiful women, phenomenal sets/costumes, impressive, seamlessly intergrated CGI and/or matte painting background effects...Just superior storytelling all around so far. Very happy to see season 2 was greenlit and is about to begin filming...I'm hooked -- definitely in for the long haul. Keep it coming!!

It's in my lineup but that is largely a byproduct of my two favorite shows being on re-run (Game of Thrones and Walking Dead) and Breaking Bad, over with. If there wasn't a need to fill my Sunday evening fix, I wouldn't bother with the series. It seems a bit bland and uneven. The blonde chick is ****ing baaaaaaaad though, so maybe I'll maintain a passing interest in it.
