I like the timing of this. 2 weeks till the trade deadline. They have decisions to make with that roster.

They have had some bad GMs after Wayne Embry left.

Yes - Dolan & Donnie (Wheel Chair) are flying to Cleveland as we speak.

Word is --- if they can't talk this guy into joining our staff --- they will follow up with a presentation to Lebron to bring him to New York to play Robin to Melo's batman.

Awful GM- not only was he abysmal at drafting, but he was also a moron about it too- if you want a player who's likely to be drafted at 6, and you have the 1st pick, trade down. Don't just draft the player way too high- what an absolute waste!

The owner ever since he lost Lebron and went on his tirade like Lebron was his slave, his fortunes has went to dirt.

He's in the same league as Clipper owner Sterling , who kept drafting young players and never paid out big money for years but made some.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Careful what you say about Gilbert, he may manufacture a hurricane to destroy your house. What if he's one of those "wealthy, evil people"?

Sterling is a racist @sshole. I might be wrong but I am not aware of Gilbert being like that. LBJ and his decision would have been really hard to take if you are the owner or live in that community. There were a lot of people walking around Cleveland in Lying King etc shirts the year after that happened. Drafting bad and being compared to a guy like Sterling are two different things.

When Lebron was in Cleveland , who did Gilbert surround Lebron with ?

Old retreads like Antwan Jamison- Big Z, Joe Smith, Ben Wallace Boobie Gibson etc...

Gilbert took out a ad in the paper talking like Lebron was his slave after his free agency decision :

Dear Cleveland, All Of Northeast Ohio and Cleveland Cavaliers Supporters Wherever You May Be Tonight;

As you now know, our former hero, who grew up in the very region that he deserted this evening, is no longer a Cleveland Cavalier.

This was announced with a several day, narcissistic, self-promotional build-up culminating with a national TV special of his "decision" unlike anything ever "witnessed" in the history of sports and probably the history of entertainment.

Clearly, this is bitterly disappointing to all of us.

The good news is that the ownership team and the rest of the hard-working, loyal, and driven staff over here at your hometown Cavaliers have not betrayed you nor NEVER will betray you.

There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you.

You simply don't deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal.

You have given so much and deserve so much more.

In the meantime, I want to make one statement to you tonight:

"I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS ONE"

You can take it to the bank.

If you thought we were motivated before tonight to bring the hardware to Cleveland, I can tell you that this shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own has shifted our "motivation" to previously unknown and previously never experienced levels.

Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there.

Sorry, but that's simply not how it works.

This shocking act of disloyalty from our home grown "chosen one" sends the exact opposite lesson of what we would want our children to learn. And "who" we would want them to grow-up to become.

But the good news is that this heartless and callous action can only serve as the antidote to the so-called "curse" on Cleveland, Ohio.

The self-declared former "King" will be taking the "curse" with him down south. And until he does "right" by Cleveland and Ohio, James (and the town where he plays) will unfortunately own this dreaded spell and bad karma.

Just watch.

Sleep well, Cleveland.

Tomorrow is a new and much brighter day....

I PROMISE you that our energy, focus, capital, knowledge and experience will be directed at one thing and one thing only:

DELIVERING YOU the championship you have long deserved and is long overdue....

Dan Gilbert
Majority Owner
Cleveland Cavaliers
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The crap Gilbert pulled was "cowardly" as he didn't have the guts to tell LeBron how he felt about him in person. Let's face it, James is a winner. He was willing to turn down the Cavs' 6-year $120M offer (I think that was the deal) for a shot at winning one or more titles with two of the NBA's best young athletes. Gilbert expected James to stay at home and suffer while Kobe or someone else hoists the trophy year after year. "Stay home James; just stay on my farm" is what Gilbert wanted, but he didn't get it. Now he's mad, even going so far as to GUARANTEE the Cavs will win a title before LeBron. How comical is that?!
