STAT is literally looking vintage STAT, I wonder what his training has been this year, if anything was different
He has that bounce, athleticism, and explosiveness that I thought he loss

And

Jeremy Tyler's combination of mobility, athleticism, length, many things vs Chandler from DEFENSE/ROTATION's and ability to HELP DEFEND, OFFENSIVE PUT BACK's/REBOUNDS and fighting for position for position for REB's and well his OFFENSIVE game is night and day, etc
Chandler is just too slow with too many other slow players, not Chandler's fault but I think Tyler is just a better fit
He just doesn't have the quality defenders he needs to play FIT what he can bring
If he goes out to set the pick, he can be easily boxed out, while Tyler's mobility and quickness, allows him to continue to go after the offensive rebound

and

JR Smith is looking much closer to the player we saw last year than the D league player we were watching earlier in the season
It takes time to recover from knee surgery, he is no where near the same athlete he was at last year, but he is looking much better

It took Lin time to get in NBA shape last season
It took made Ronnie Brewer become a scrub
And now is taking JR much time to regain his peak shape

Knicks really handicap themselves starting/playing Shump, Felton and Chandler. That unit just isn't working.

Well I will say, regardless who is in the high PnR is opening up opportunities for the knicks.

They do. Felton is the second best scorer on the court. You can't win with a line up where that is the case no matter how good Melo is. Also, while the d is much revered with some of these first unit guys it seems better with the second unit.

Melo should really never bring the ball up with under 12 Secs.

He is a BACKUP scoring G that is a horrible defender, he should be playing vs backups

More of a undersized SG/combo guard

He isn't a PG
He isn't a Facilitator
He isn't a Defender
He isn't a Leader

He is a streaky shooter and can get HOT/COLD
He can penetrate if he has the lane but I wouldn't say he is very good at it
He can throw a lob pass despite the past game

anytime the knicks have teh final shot melo is gonna take it even if there are 5 defenders on him. My only real issue is that he draws 2-3 defenders to him because of his scoring ability he shoudl really hit teh open man more. His passing skills are pretty good when he wnats to pass

Would any other 2/3 not take advantage of being guarded by a power forward who is not a good defender? Iman "Rube Baker" Shumpert.

If only we could replace Felton with SOMEONE!!! This team could be so much better with a half decent PG! The other parts aren't as bad as they often look. Just need that PG to direct and create.
