This seems to suggest that Woodson is on his way out before the All Star break. I highly doubt anyone outside the organization is coming in as the interim unless they get a 3-4 year deal. But the only guys I can think of are Stan and Jeff Van Gundy. Who else makes sense? Not George Karl.

Which is exactly what the NYK will do. Throw money at the problem, get a name in here, then trample on his prefessionalism and judgment until he decides to get himself fired, then pay him a negotiated settlement. How many times have we repeated this BS...

LB, MD, etc.

Who else but Herb Williams or Daryl Walker

I would think Walker is 1st choice, he seem to really care, Herb has to stay on and can't be fired as the in house snitch. I recall him going down to the end of the bench to console and correct Shumpert during a game.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

It'll be Herb or Houston. They're going to jettison anyone that Woodson brought in. Is there anyone on the staff besides Herb that isn't a Woodson guy? Remember, Grunwald brought in Woodson as an eventual replacement for MDA.

Heard it all before- if we were going to get rid of him, we had ample opportunity to do so. He's here for the season. Not letting the players of the hook either- they are equally to blame.

woodson should be gone.... the only person he runs a play for is melo... how about setting double screens for thjr ala ray allen... or jr.... or the fact our best pf/c amare only plays 20 min a game esp when he said the dr gave him the go for no limit... he came into the season unprepared...the players don't respect him, and he dose not prepare them for game day.... jvg, gorge karl, larry brown would have benched ray felton for his lackluster defense and pitiful court vision...and actually karl did in denver i know he had ty lawson but still. time to start pablo, and get mr potato head out of nyc along with his best friend felton... good riddance

He should have been fired after getting embarrassed by Vogel in the Indiana series last year

If we were going to fire him, he should have been weeks ago. Whats the point in waiting until it's too late to make the playoffs? Thats why I think he's here all season long...

gunsnewing - Did Vogel and Woodson go one-on-one last year?

Or was it Tyson Chandler vs Roy Hibbert?

Who had Lance Stepehnson?

So Mister Earl, what's your assessment of Woodson now? He really looks lost to me.

He had the small lineup it there against their big guys. We had guys he could have played but made no adjustments. He refused to pay Copeland until or backs were against the wall. He stated this year with the same lineup even after we made roster moves.

He's a idiot and unprepared. No excuse for his strategy or lack there of

Mike Woodson does not defend, dribble, deflect, dive for, shoot, rebound or pass the ball.

Our point guard looks lost... and painfully predictable.

Did Doc Rivers look lost before KG and Jesus Shuttiesworth arrived?

makes no sense.
Single biggest issue organizationally is Melo's future. pointless making any other coaching change (or trade) until that is decided.

I'm so sick of MISTEREARL making excuses for woodson like if he has some emotional attachment to him. We had the same conversation last week.
Woodson does not make adjustments, and when he makes them it is WAY TOO LATE. Shouldve played copeland, by the time he did it was like 5 mins left in game 5.
Shouldve bench JR for his stupid antics, by the time he did, the team lost respect for him.

Better yet, the game we lost earlier in the year for not fouling when we had the foul to give
Sticking with felton after felton gets beat time and time again
OR WHAT PISSES ME OFF THE MOST, when feltons hand was fractured or broken or whatever it was, and seeing him CLEARLY STRUGGLE GAME AFTER GAME and letting him play 40 MINS a night.

the only play woodson draws up is called ISO-MELO. EVERYONE STAND AROUND AND WAIT.....KEEP WAITING.....IF you get the rebound....GIVE IT BACK TO MELO....

He's clueless and so is MISTEREARL

The players do the playing, but please don't suggest that the coaching has no impact on what happens during the game. Woody has shown himself to be inept on many levels, from motivation to offensive play calling, to managing personalities. He gots to go!

if woodson doesn't matter in any of that, then why do you care if he's kept?

NY1NY2 - yawn

Try the scroll function.

Mike Woodson is far from perfect. There are no excuses being manufactured for him. The simple fact is that the most essential position on the court is manned-down by a player who is quite possibly he lowest ranked in the league, in terms of his ability to dominate any opponent.

You think Tyson Chandler was dominated by Hibbert in the playoffs due to Woodsons direction, or a mismatch in ability?

You wanna put someone on Damian Lillard tonight?

Who?
