should we get this guy to replace houston? could he mesh with marbury if he walked away from duncan? he'd want the full MLE...

i'd say he's probably a guy that we'd have a good chance at.

what do you think?

hell yes! not only can he clap...but he can walk too! more than can be said for houston. it is so emblamatic of this team that we have a captain who limps like oj. the next time houston scores fifty will be from a wheelchair during a knicks half time. count on it. isiah knows it too.

yes man!!!

Don't you see us talking about him all the darn day!!!!

To tone that down a little.....yeah he'd be a great pick up. I think he would instantly boost the Knicks chemisty. I could see him and Marbury pulling a New Jersey after a big play and smiling and chest bumping all the way back to the bench after the apponents time out.

Can you imagine that?

They did play with one another in New Jersey in the 00-01 season. I forgot about that. I don't remember how that went. I mean now that I think about it I remember but not enough to lie about it in a post. I gotta research that.

I'd love Stephen Jax here, but only as a PLAN B or C , he should not be Isiah's main or even secondary focus this offseason. But i'd be happy with him if that's what it came down to.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Yeah number one option should be getting big man....
Stephen Jax is definately the type of guard the Knicks need though. If they wait too long in getting him he isn't gonna wait.
He could sign with Denver but Quinten Richardson will most likely end up there....maybe. If there is a player that could help the Knicks they gotta jump on it quick. The longer you wait the more you lose out on future opportunities. Layden was good for that.

Why all that talk about Stephen Jackson? IMO, this cat is garbage. He can't defend, and a very incosistant scorrer. He benefited a lot from Duncan in San Antonio, but who wouldn't? We need ballers, guys that are consistant and not injury prone. Now if we have a shot at Vince, TMack, Kobe, or Richardson, we should go for it.

Far fetched....

Toronto could use some of the players we have but not for Vince Carter. Totonto just isn't gonna trade him to NY.
Same could be said for T-mac.

There is a good chance Kobe could sign for the exemption but that is such a long shot that it shouldn't even be wasted on a thread.

J-Rich is fine and dandy, but what would Golden state want? How much better is J-Rich than Stephen Jackson?

Stephen Jackson has ties to NY and is friends with Marbury. Plus I doubt any teams will throw more than 5 mill at him.

Quinten Richardson is available too but he's gonna get better money in Denver. Stephen Jackson is the best option and fit for this team in my opinion.

I'm sure he's on Isiah's radar....but like we've already seen Isiah might just pull something out of left field on us.....

"He can't defend, and a very incosistant scorrer" Jackson averaged more than a steal a game last year and routinely guarded the other teams best player, so obviously that is ridiculous. Jackson is an incosistent shooter, but he can still slash and is very athletic. You saying he can't defend though is pretty outrageous.

"We need ballers, guys that are consistant and not injury prone. Now if we have a shot at Vince, TMack, Kobe"-I love the fact that we should get guys who aren't injury prone, then mention three guys with chronic injury problems. Vince's leg is so bad that he can't even dunk or jump the way he used to, and it'll only get worse. TMac's had a horrible back for a while, and Kobe's hurt his shoulder and has a legal case hanging above him.

Besides, theres no way in the world they get any of those players (I'd only want Kobe or McGrady, but it doesn't matter since it won't happen).

"There is a good chance Kobe could sign for the exemption"-I really don't believe that. I think Kobe goes to the Lakers, Clippers, I don't know I just can't see him signing for the MLE that's insane. Not to mention he lost tons of money after his trial and has to pay millions for his legal team.

I don't know about Jackson, I just can't stand his game. Richardson is athletic and is the right complement for Marburry and TT. We have the players that can actually get us Richardson and Dampier. Our best bet is to go out and acquire those two players. Golden State will not resign Rich because they have an equally athletic but better defender in Pietrus.

Okay, what are you SMOKING??? Why on EARTH would Golden State gift wrap Jason Richardson and Dampier for us? Because Mullin is from Brooklyn??!?!?!? Wake up, man! There's no way that will ever happen.
