Step 1 - Unload every guard on this team not named Tim Hardaway Jr. Guys like Felton, Beno, and Pablo -- give 'em away if you have to. Murry goes to N.O. in a trade (see below). Find a taker for JR Smith.

Step 2 - Trade Shumpert for cash and a 1st round pick (25-30 range). This is how we deal ourselves back in the draft.

Step 3 - Execute a trade with New Orleans - either for Tyreke Evans and Pierre Jackson together or Jackson by himself.

Step 4 - Sign Kalin Lucas to a contract.

Step 5 - Sign Patrick Christopher to a contract.

Step 6 - Draft PJ Hairston at the end of the 1st round.

PG: P-Jax/Lucas/Evans

SG: Evans/THJ/Hairston/Christopher

The pelicans are a team ready for a trade. I think monty Williams would love shump on his bench.

I don't think the knicks are remotely close to doing anything like this. Getting Pierre Jackson would be incredible. I just don't know if it can get done. I have zero faith in this franchise right now on any level.

Pierre Jackson - Probably shooting a bit too much but that Idaho Stampede club he plays for lacks offensive punch, esp. with Kevin Murphy out of the lineup and after Rich Howell departed for the Philippines. On a good club he's not putting up 30 shots a night. Nice to know that he's willing though and can take on that kind of scoring load. Thing I love -- he's not just some pint-sized scorer and that's it. The man's actually a very good PG with well above average court vision and passing skills. Looking at a better version of Jameer Nelson/Patty Mills here. Nate Robinson with real PG skills.

Kalin Lucas - Talented, capable young PG. As is, I think he's better than anything we currently have at the position, including Ray Felton. Jackson and Lucas together could be a lethal PG combination. At the very least, they'd make for a well above average PG duo. Don't even care about the lack of NBA experience concerning both he and Jackson -- develop on the fly, learn on the job and let their natural talent take over. Acquire them both now and use the rest of this year as a learning springboard.

Patrick Christopher - Very capable 2G prospect. I think he compares favorably to Hardaway Jr.. Size, game, athleticism, talent level all similar. Good player at Cal. and in Europe, has since taken his game to another level in the DL (currently shooting over 45% from 3). At his best knocking down jumpers off screens and curls. Plays with a lot of energy on both ends. I think he'd make for a very nice role playing NBA SG.

PJ Hairston - Potential JR Smith replacement. If we could ever pull off a major trade with the Pelicans for Tyreke Evans and we were able to land another legit 2G on the cheap like Pat Christopher (or Reggie Williams maybe), Hairston may not be necessary. For argument's sake, maybe we then use the pick we acquire for Shumpert for a big man. I like this kid though.

I agree we need a pg to take it to the next level, also I see thjr as a starter and a future star. The guy is a lights out shooter who is great in transition he can drive and dish as well... And with more time better defender.

Ray and chandler have looked a lot better in the last two games... But they've struggled with injuries and consistency..
p-jax,Pablo
Thjr,smith
Melo,shump
Stat,Martin
Chandler,Tyler
And any of our bigs I really like Tyler he moves with conviction and passion and he has a great offensive skill set that will be seen with time. the more time for Tyler the better.also has a huge wingspan. I think it's really important to keep chandlers min to around 20 min a game.i think it's gonna take ray and murry to get p-jax . With pjax thjr melo stat and Tyler everyone can put the ball in the hoop.. Also if melo and stat get dibble teamed that leaves p jax and thjr wide open for shots as well as open looks for Tyler who has great range as well.. I see that team competing with anyone in the nba.

IMO everyone besides Melo, Shump, and THJ we should try to be looking to trade. I would not trade Melo or our only young players. Especially because both show promise.

i would trade melo because it seems that would bring back a lot of picks for us and help us trade the other un-movables we have. what if he leaves this offseason? why wait for that... so that we get nothing in return?
Nixluva is posting triangle screen grabs, even when nobody asks - Fishmike. LOL So are we going to reference that thread like the bible now? "The thread of Wroten Page 14 post 9" - EnySpree
