I think Sessions would be much keep to keep than Lowry, also McRoberts and Jeffrey Taylor are solid rotation players
Instead of paying Lowry 8-10m per year, get 3 players, cause we NEED talent and upgrades in a few positions not just one although PG is the greatest need
Lets just face it, Raymond Felton is not a starter and JR at least has the chance to get back in NBA shape and raise his value but I just don't think Felton will ever improve and be able to defend a starting PG period
Getting rid of the poor contracts of Felton and Pablo help the cap room of 2015 while and MWP (player option for next year) are also poor contracts at this point
Udrih (backup as vet min expiring)

Bobcats
============

Sessions

Josh McRoberts
Jeffrey Taylor
Anthony Tolliver or Jannero Pargo for salary reasons

Knicks
===============
1st round pick
Raymond Felton
Pablo

MWP
Either Iman (I like Iman but he will be due for a raise in 2015 as well) or Tim Hardway JR
Udrih
and
Ronnie Brewer's trade exemption (from OKC that MUST be used) and draft rights to the 2 Euro players obtained from Tyson Chandler traded from Dallas

Summer moves for Knicks
==========================

For the summer keep both Sessions and McRoberts (player option) as we will have their bird rights

USE THE MLE very carefully and continue to add TALENT, unlike what we have failed to do the past 2 years with Kidd and then MWP and Pablo....
and look to upgrade the SG with Trevor Ariza or SF/PF with Marion??

or

even target another PG/SG in Bayless, Greveiz Vasquez, Nate Robinson, Randy Foye, Darren Collison, Mo Williams

Sign James Johnson for a 2 year team option with partial guarantee to further development at a vet min deal and would even do a 2 year fully guarantee if needed
Sign Chris Johnson ex Twolve at PF/C or/and Jordan Hendricks (that was with Houston this summer for a short stint)
Keep an eye on Trevor Booker, Dante Cunningham, Edoh for vet min deals if possible

Continue to use our 3m in trades to purchase/trade for 2 2nd round picks in this draft that we could use again in the summer, we didn't use it this past year, and would even consider using part of this in the trade with Bobcats

I think JR Smith will eventually get back to NBA shape, next season, and play closer to how he was playing last season for us
With his player option for 2015, he will look to prove his value in the league once again
We cannot deny he has talent and has immaturity issues but he just isn't the same player he was last season partially because of his injury and party because he got his contract for the short term

Whether we keep Melo or Chandler at this point is the question and what value they have in the league?
I would not mind moving them for picks, some younger players, and poor contracts (like Kendrick Perkins for Chandler) that do not go beyond 2015

If Melo does opt out and leaves to another team, I wonder if the 5m MLE vs the 3m MLE would be enough to target players like Pau Gasol or Gortat, or Lowry

Oh and FIRE EVERY COACH on our team with a GM, Head Coach, assistant coaches, and development coaches that would WORK together to BUILD a team with continued development
Praying Jeff Van Gundy comes back or pay Poppavich (making him an offer he cannot resist with high salary and power/position that Riley got when he went to Miami (let him choose his future successor, hoping Tim Duncan would come with him in 2015 for the vet min or room exemption on a 2 year deal (but letting him retire after one season but getting payed for both years, essentially making him a future HEAD coach or any position he wants with a future high salary to be part of our staff like Hakeem is currently for The Rockets
