Most baseball fans (that are not yanking fans) despise the yankees. I live in baltimore and O's fans hate evErything about the organIzation, "THEY BUY THERE CHAMPIONSHIPS" I here that in mostly every state i visit, except BOSTON.

Dolan is willing to spends what ever it takes, we can all attest to this, but some how, they keep buying bull sht.

Why is it that the yanks can pay guys like CC, Arod, TEX, ect..and get there monies worth

But the knicks will get guys like melo, steph amare ect, and get half of what they pd for.

The yanks get there #1 target this winter without a flinch..

while the knicks planned 2 yrs for labron and had to go visit him and still got kicked to the curb..

Because the way the NBA salary cap works, you can't just spend and spend. Baseball has a different set of rules.

It goes to show you just how bad the Dolan Knicks really are. Listen a blind chimp could've made the franchise worth what it is today--and a blind chimp could've had a better record than Dolan picking players with the money he spent. There is no owner or team in professional sport that has equaled wins per cash spent than the Knicksover the last 14. The only thing Dolan has to do with the Knicks--is that his dad was a smart guy and he was his offspring--its as simple as that.

There is a difference between spending money on good players and spending money on backups. Felton is a proven backup, JR is a proven backup. Bargs is a backup. Chandler an over glorified center so yeah picking crap and paying for it. Don't matter shytty team it not money is being made f' the fans.

Some more words: Consistency in the front office.

How can you expect this franchise to maintain anything given the amount of turnover there's been in management?

Exactly. The Knicks are worth $1.4 billion. I'm sure Dolan would have given Lebron a $300 mil contract and Wade and Bosh $200 mil each and we'd have our rings right now. And he would have gotten every penny of that $700 mil back in revenues.

When the Yanks over pay on a bust, they just go out and spend on another. Can't do that in the NBA with it's hard salary cap.

Baseball is individual stuff...players rally around each other. Basketball is more of a team sport. Alt of things have to come together to win. We are just cursed. Nothing we do works out and then we have knuckle heads making it even worse.

You think any manager managing the yankees can reach the mid point of any season with the 4th or 5th worse record in the league and NOT get CANNED, I don't think I have ever seen a selfish yankee player..Atleast not in a yankee uniform

It's got to be a culture thing, history. The yanks attract a high character demeanor, the yankees know nothing but winning, guys put on that uniform and respect it.

We some how have been the drama queens of the NBA in this great big market..

I think its just a bad vibe in the organization,it's just No way to explain all the spending and the enormous amounts of bad luck, bad timing, bad decision.

Theres just so much more structure wnen it comes to the yankees top to bottom, they don't have a great farm system, but they go after the best and usually get there guy.

Our knicks seem to scramble for seconds and thirds, we don't have a legit 2nd starter on this team, let alone star. We have 2nd and 3rd tier guys from the players to the coaching staff.

We play just like the organization is run, extremely inconsistent, like we never had a plan, and certainly didn't have a contingency plan if the original plan didn't work..

It's like we sign players and hope the bright lights and super stars at court side will help players elevate there game. Yankees sign players on merit and championships and players want to elevate their game.

We wait too long to cut ties with bad moves, and move too fast on moves you should have been patient on.

The Yankees were also lucky enough to have baseball exile George Steinbrenner for two-years years. We'd be lucky to have a similar ban instituted against JD. You have to remember there was a period of time when theYankees spent money and were still crappy. It was until 'Stick' Michaels and a consistent management corps was installed that the team started winning. Dolan has nothing on Steinbrenner when it comes to media hijinks. He was just lucky enough to have a League with enough juice to save him from himself.
