http://nypost.com/2014/01/22/dolans-mediocre-knicks-now-worth-nba-best-1-4b/

Operating profit for Dolan’s team came in at $96.3 million — or more than $2 million per home game, Forbes magazine found, whether they win, lose or not even show up.

This is why what we think on how things should be run are left on a deaf ear.

Messy confrontational unprofessional pro sports team in NY sells . From Anucka gate to the firing of Grunwald. Isiah is very close to Dolan, and has as a player, coach, Gm and operation of a minor league pro league wants to still make decisions to sabotage the team from behind the scenes.

You all know Dolan doesn't know basketall right ?????

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

There is no incentive to change.

http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/10332246/forbes-new-york-knicks-nba-most-valuable-team

The New York Knicks, for the second straight year, are the NBA's most valuable franchise, according to the annual league list that was published by Forbes on Wednesday.

The Knicks topped the list at a worth of $1.4 billion, helped along by the renovation of Madison Square Garden, which in part led to an all-time record profit of $96 million last season.

Nice now we can continue to overpay for mediocrity with nothing to show. I'm starting to wonder if I will ever see a championship in my lifetime

Now tell me again why it was fiscally responsible for Dolan not to re-sign the gift from the basketball gods?

Winning does not translate in his arena. Dolan is winning. Majority of fans don't care. If your on the UK, you care.

If your 11 years old its about Melo.

Nets valuation increase has been very impressive: http://www.netsdaily.com/2014/1/22/5334738/forbes-ranks-nets-as-fifth-most-valuable-franchise-with-ninth-richest

The Russian struck a great buy (he tried to buy Knicks)with the Nyets and investing in the arena there.

Now if the rest of us can "win" it would be great!!!

KNicks can't affort to let Melo go. Its not about wins or metrics, its $

Hopefully this will set a few of you straight now, they hate playing at home with effort for Dolan.

If you are right then we have the dumbest group of players on the planet!

You think they are concious of this lack of effort? Or its an inate sort of repulsive act of sabotage they can't help?

Dolan has made it known , it's his way or go elsewhere.

Pray for the man to value the product on the court and not just the business side off of it.

I personally believe that if the Knicks were winning championships, they would make more money:
1) They would pick up more fans in other parts of the country, increase jersey sales etc
2) More viewership for games = increased ad revenue
3) Ticket prices could be increased even more (not that I am advocating for that)

The list goes on. I agree that Dolan is sitting comfortably so there is no reason for him to change things, but he is leaving money on the table by not improving the team and the way the franchise is run.

Happy for them

Don't see a reason why you can't field a quality team at the same time,

Raking in the dough and dropping buckets are not mutually exclusive exercises

Did you read what the VP Watkins said--he didnt even say 1 thing about the team how its playing--all he cared to talk about were 6 seats in the front row and how important it was to the brand. Its almost all about money we are the reverse LA Clippers circa 2000--the Clippers have changed--can we?

That is why name players mean so much Mcdyess Marbury Anthony Stoudemire its their brand.

If this is the case, the Knicks next targets are as predictable as a David Lee double double.

The criteria is name recognition, approaching 30 years old and appear attractive to people who can barely spell basketball.

Kiki Vandeweghe

Paul Westphal.

Maurice Cheeks.

Spencer Haywood.

Amare Stoudemire.

Dirk.

Kevin Love.
