When murry came in in the first half last night he lead a run and put us up big he can really run the floor and is great in transition. He's a 6'5 point guard with great burst, and lock down defense ability. When he made a mistake in the first half (his only one of the Half) with a pass that led to a turnover we were up 7 ... Mike Woodson put in Raymond Felton who just might be the worst defensive pg in the league. He lets his man penetrate and dish to the open man at will... In less then two min we lost the lead and Raymond blew any defensive chemistry we had as well as offensive blunders that lead to turnovers and bad shot selection... Murry needs to work on his shot but so dose Felton in a real bad way. I just wish Woodson could see if he kept murry in in the first half we might have went up big...also taking a rookie out for one turnover in a major run, ruined murrys confidence in the second half.. Woodson needs to stop treating Felton like he's actually good, Felton was equally bad and absolutely awful on the defense. A good coach makes a player ride the pine for playing defense like Raymond dose... Portland recognized it early so did Denver.. Raymond rides the pine until he can keep a man in front of him and can hit a open jumper.

Woodson certainly had a long leash with him in the second half when he came in, threw the ball way over Smith's head to force a bad possession and then had a couple of turnovers immediately after along with playing poor defense and fouling. Not sure about others but I was praying that Woodson would bring in Beno but he let Murry play. Also, it seemed like Murry was the only guy shooting on offense for a brief spell when he was running the point in the second half. HOnestly thought last nights game indicated he might need to get more run in the dl.

Also at the end of the first half you could just feel the momentum shifting.. Also Raymond looks like he needs to go down to the dL as well

Well there are two halfs. His second half performance could have him out of the rotation or spending some time in erie.

This is what I see when I watch Murry. Guys make negative comments about him but I'm just not sure if they are watching him play or just restating his current resume. This dude needs his chance to play

I'll bet that murry locks down Raymond on defense and cuts him up on offense in practice. Also if we are going to lose bad like we have we might as well go with this line up murry,thjr,shump,melo,Tyler... At least it will start a fire under the butts of the likes of Felton, chandler and show them playing half ass will not be tolerated...

I like Murry but last night at least in the second half wasn't a good showing on his part. The game was still competitive when he came in. Knicks might have been leading. He looked really bad and Woodson didn't pull him despite numerous mistakes.

I saw the first half and if you saw murry, you saw he is getting a chance.

I also recommend that folks watch other teams besides the knicks to get a feel that most PG's penetrate and hard to contain. Its not just Rainman Felton.

Murray and Tyler were good in the first half not so much in the 2nd half. Murray is lighting quick with the ball and 6'5! But RIGHT NOW, he may improve with seasoning, he is Toney Douglas trying to run an NBA offense. Time tell and quite frankly he deserves a shot in the rotation. Unless you are fine with being subjected to watching Felton and pulling your hair out

The Knicks really do not provide a platform for rookies to reach greatness. The rookies line Hardaway should be thrown into the fire that is the only way he will reach greatness. By thrown into fire I mean he should be starting. This team isn't going anywhere what do the Knicks have to lose. This is the type of team that kill opportunities for players to get the necessary experience to become great players.

+1
Everyone has bad games and yesterday was not a good game from Murry. I think Murry has the same weakness Lin had his first year. When people D him the full court tight he has issues bringing up the ball. This then messes up his confidence and he makes more mistakes than normal. This is something he needs him to work on in the summer like Lin did. He needs to be comfortable enough that when they pressure him that he makes them pay.

Tyler was not bad in the second half. He just did not touch the ball in the second half. There were many possesions he had his man sealed on a post up only to have the passer pass him up and swing the ball to the other side. On at least 2 of those occasions it was JR Smith(Take from that what you want). The way they constantly feed STAT in the post even when he was really bad at the start of the season you would think they would give Tyler 1 or 2 touches a half. On the other hand, Murry is better than Douglas at running a team but he struggles with his dribbling when pressured full court. He is obviously the one with the most work needed to develop into a good player off the bench.

I don't agree they have to be starting. I do agree that they must be playing with the normal team and not just garbage time. garbage time is almost wasteful minutes because they will not be playing the role they will with the normal team. Will they learn during garbage time? Yes, but it will be at a slower rate and they will not learn what their actual roles entail.

You are right the issue is how he handles pressure on the ball. I've seen him make plays for his teammates unlike TD

Murry has had his rookie ups and downs but he hasn't played all that much this season. He's being developed to play backup PG, not a first round or even second round pick, the learning curve might be a little steeper.. Murry is pressing, when he took better care of the ball when he first got here he looked pretty good. Playing Murry also helps the vets stay healthy. I don't know if thats what Woodson is thinking but I wouldn't be surprised. It also gives the vets an incentive to make their minutes count.

Good point. I actually agree with this. If we're gonna go down, go down finding out more about Murry, Tyler and Aldrich.
