To the people clamoring for Lin- The reason we didn't sign Lin is because of his very bad contract. Why is his contract bad? Because the third year of his contract is a huge poison pill. So why on Earth would we trade for him, in the worst year of his contract, to help out Houston who ****ed us over with the poison pill in the first place? Now that the years have passed where his salary matches his production we want him in his last year at a salary no one in the league would touch. Not only that, people want to give up considerable assets for him! That would be like getting knocked out by Houston in a fight, getting up, and saying "please Morey, may I have some more?". Total joke move. If we do this it will be among one of the most pathetic Knicks trades to date and will only prove why we are the laughingstock of the league.
I know you all think Dolan is stubborn (he is), but would any owner with an ounce of pride really turn around and do this trade? No!
Also Lin is an average PG, if we're rebuilding I'd hope we can do better than him. We should have learned by now that having a good, fast PG is very important to a team's success. Dragic is a much better choice, but more expensive I'm sure.
