I think Evan Turner is cut in that Lance Stephenson mold and definitely fits a need for us. As a team that consistently plays a smaller lineup, we need bigger guards that can rebound the ball and double as a primary ball handler. Guys like that can give us more opportunities to run, which we desperately need. Could we parlay Shumpert and a future 1st in a deal for him this season?

I think he would be great. Not sure what it would take to get him. Also, he didnt sign his q o with Philly. Would the Knicks be able to resign him

That's a damn good question. I've heard conflicting info about expiring contracts; one source suggesting that Bird Rights are not retained if the contract expires within 3 years of the date that the player is traded and the other stating that Bird Rights are kept in any trade. Maybe a CBA dude like VCoug would know.

Whatever the case, we need his length on the floor. We've been beat and continue to get beat by having piss poor rebounding outside of Tyson and Melo. That Indiana game was brutal to watch because we folded against their physical play.

Once concern I have with Turner is that he has never really been effective as a secondary player. This year, his one true breakout season, he's been able to dominant the ball. Will he revert back to his early level of production if he's moved to a team with a dominant player, or has he truly figured it out?

I share your concern but it's a gamble worth taking, if we refuse to rebuild. The beauty about Turner's game is that he can orchestrate for other players and can run an offense for an entire quarter. We need a guy like that on the floor that can do more than look for his shot. Even so, I am concerned about Turner's recent slump and wonder if he can ever be a consistent player when it comes to shooting the ball.

He would be perfect. I would trade JR,Felton & Shumpert

I doubt the Sixers give up Wroten. The Grizzlies were stupid to give that kid up and the Sixers seem to be too smart to follow suit. I keep beating a dead horse but I don't understand why the Knicks couldn't purchase a pick to get a guy like that and then have the patience to develop him.

Honestly, had we not traded for AB, we might be able to still work some magic, but under the circumstanced that we are in (our record) and (JR Smith) not being close to the player he was or having the value he had near last season, how do we get such players you keep mentioning?

The players you mentioned, the teams want 1st round picks and likely young players with them

Currently are all negative contracts at this point, in my opinion, Felton (a bit) and JR (a lot but hard to say after he has shown he is immature for the 5x time in the league and is like 28?) have the ability to rise .....
