Sports columnist Peter Vecsey wrote on Wednesday that the Celtics are "close" to trading Jordan Crawford.

Advice: The timing of the report is plausible, given Rajon Rondo's possible return this week, and Vecsey mentions the Nets, Clippers, Rockets Suns and Warriors as teams which are "interested" in trading for Crawford. To be clear, we're viewing this as a trade rumor until more sources weigh in.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

You're late, man- it's already gone down!:

The Golden State Warriors have acquired Jordan Crawford and Marshon Brooks for Toney Douglas and part of their traded player exception in a three-team trade with the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat.

The Warriors have been looking to improve their backcourt depth, with discussions also taking place for Kyle Lowry and Kirk Hinrich.

The Heat will acquire Douglas, while sending Joel Anthony to the Celtics.

The Celtics will also receive the protected future first round pick of the Philadelphia 76ers from the Heat, along with a future second round pick. The pick from the 76ers is lottery protected in 2014 and 2015 and then becomes a second rounder.

Brian Windhorst of ESPN reports that the deal will likely save upwards of $10 million for the Heat in salary and luxury tax.

What if Rondo goes down who are they gonna to use Paul Pressey's son ?

Or maybe they make the trade with Sac-town for Isiah Thomas, Ben Mclemore, Jason Thompson and draft picks

I think they'll move Rondo- they are stacked with first and second rounders for years to come, may as well start afresh and get some more goodies for Rondo. That Kings deal would be sweet for the Celtics, but Kings would be committing locker room chemistry suicide!

As part of a three-team deal, the Boston Celtics have traded guards Jordan Crawford and MarShon Brooks to the Golden State Warriors, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

The Warriors will send guard Toney Douglas to the Miami Heat, and Miami sends center Joel Anthony and a future first-round pick and second-round pick to the Celtics, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Miami will send a first-round pick it owns from the Philadelphia 76ers to the Celtics, but that pick becomes two second-round picks should the Sixers miss the playoffs in 2013-14 and 2014-15. The Heat will save $11.5 million in salary and luxury tax with the unloading of Anthony's contract. Anthony has appeared in just 12 games for Miami this season, averaging a little more three minutes.

For Golden State, this is the completion of several weeks of work to bolster the depth of its backcourt. Crawford, 25, has had a professional revival under coach Brad Stevens, learning to become more of a playmaker and less of a shoot-first guard. He is averaging 13.7 points and 5.7 assists this season.

Brooks, 24, was recently recalled by the Celtics from their Development League affiliate, where he spent five games. He appeared in 10 games for the Celtics this season, averaging a little more than seven minutes.

Douglas was averaging 3.7 points in 24 games in limited minutes with the Warriors this season.

The Warriors have won 11 of their past 12 games to move within a game of the Los Angeles Clippers and the Pacific Division lead.

I think it's a hell of a trade for all teams...Warriors get Brooks and Crawford? nice....

The heat need a guard like Toney Douglas...he won't have to run the point. He could finally just play his game.

Crawford offers good insurance and will help cut down some of Steph's minutes. I think Marshon might be out of the league next year if isn't careful.
