His minutes need to be lower regardless of his play....dude is showing that he breaks down. Toure Murry has been playing really smooth so Woodson should feel confident in resting Felton

Yeah, if only he could start the season in shape but really what can you expect for $4M/year.
Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

Ray has always been the key....And should be the example of what this team needs as we move forward.

Unselfish guards that are strong enough to get to the rim and create for others. The problem is it's hard to find this kind of combination.

At the NBA level, you either have more of one thing, and less of the other. Felton is at a stage in his career where he has both. He's also at a stage in his career where he is injury prone.

He seems to gain and lose weight very quickly- I was surprised at how thin he looked last night- a big change from before he went down with the groin injury

As Ray goes, Tyson goes....

Tyson is the type of player that needs a solid PG to play with. Without Ray, Tyson becomes a liability on offense. Similar to Anderson for Miami. Which is why Anderson will always be a backup player.

Ray makes everything click because he has the type of skill set thats needed for this roster. This is also why him and pablo plays so well together. Felton can become more of an attacking pg, and not have to think too much about the entire team.

Even when Felton misses those layups, you have bigs like Kenyon Martin and Tyson Chandler who feeds off of dribble penetration and offensive put backs.

But whats crazy is I don't think we win this game if Pablo was playing.....I just think when you give Woody too many options, it becomes a negative for team chemistry. But when he has no choice do to injuries, it's actually better for him......Thats a clear sign to me of a coach thats not ready to be a head coach.

Dont believe Felton's performance has anything to do with being in shape. It was Raymond making better decisions. He didnt get 11 assists from outrunning the Heat, he got it from outthinking them IMO. In the past if Felton lost even half a step we were sunk, but I saw a smarter player last night. Don't know if it will last but I like what I see.

In baseball thats the same as being able to throw 95mph with accuracy. Its a simple idea but so very very hard to do at that level. I feel like there's like 8 guys in the NBA that fit that description, probably less.

That being said I agree, just dont trivialize the value... its quite a commodity

Sometimes it helps when you are on the side line injured, watching what the team needs when you return. Same with Melo, which is why we are on this winning streak. Melo said this himself....

I seems he was listening to the critics and got in shape and smarter. Sitting out allowed him to see what the team is missing. Now let's see him do it on a consistent basis

We can live with inconsistencies out of Shumpert because he can impact games without scoring. We can't live with an inconsistent PG. Your PG needs to be a floor general and leader and bring it every night. He needs to be the engine. The straw that stirs the drink and elevate everyone's play. Felton has never been that kind of player. Maybe he finally gets it. We shall see

Thats why Woodson puts him and Pablo in the same lineup.....To relieve Felton of those other PG duties, and lets him concentrate on being a playmaker. What Felton has, Pablo doesn't...and vice versa. I just don't like them playing together on defense....

Ray seems to look in shape only during wins. When the knicks lose he looks fat. The guy came in healthy but the injuries during camp hurt him.

+1 Funny but true....I always thought his size was always on the plus side, regardless of being in shape or out of shape.

Skinny during wins....

Fat during loses....

Excellent!
