The Murry/Shumpert backcourt looked great yesterday.

Murry makes good decisions with the ball, but he needs to get more aggressive on offense. The kid has great hands on D

Shumpert comes alive in the clutch, kid hit some timely 3's yesterday.

Hardaway JR reminds me of lance stephnson with a better shot. Athletic, runs the floor well, and can really throw it down (ask ray allen)

I do wanna see what tyler can do, dont want to run amare or kenyon into the ground

I think the guys that played last night are is the best chance we have to win it all. We need to delete dead weight. Tim Hardaway JR and Murry need to be trusted a little more....having Felton play close to 40 mins is no good cuz he will be complaining about his back, hammy or knees in no time if he doesn't get down closer to 30 minutes. Iman playing 40 mins is no good either. Woodson holds the keys. I have been overly critical of him. He is retarded, but if he trusts Tim Hardaway Jr and Murry a lot more and continue to bench the guys that we benched last night? We will be back in business....That goes for Tyson too. Knicks really need to look at trading him. Kendrick Perkins off the bench and in the locker room would probably be the best thing we could do....nothing to do with Tyson's play. Just his fit.

Damn man we are so close to getting this right.

Well said. Agree with all points.

Regarding the Murry/Shumpert backcourt -- what I like most, beside the defense both guys bring, is the fact that both guys want to run and get out on the break. If you watch Shumpert, he'll rip down a rebound (very underrated rebounder for a SG) and race up the court only to slow it down because nobody bothered to run with him. Well this kid Murry will run with him. Hardaway too. There was a play yesterday where Murry ran a fast break only to slightly hesitate/fumble the pass off to Melo resulting in a turnover...Steve Kerr got on Murry a little saying he muffed the pass but I look at that differently -- if Melo really was running full speed and got out ahead of Murry, that was a dunk or a layup for sure...Because Melo only halfheartedly ran with Murry, Murry had to make a more difficult pass off to Melo at a bad angle. Melo ****ed that played up, not Murry..

Definitely want to see more Shumpert/Murry together. They both bring it on defense (like everyone else though, Murry looses site of his man on the perimeter resulting in wide open 3s at times but his man to man D is good, as are his quick hands), and I think it's our best combo to get out there and run and hopefully get some easy ones. Throw THJ in that mix as well.

Chandler (when healthy)
Melo
Shumpert
THJ
Murry (or Felton)

Let's see what that lineup could do.

Imagine Murry or Shump leading the break with Lebron on the wing....

These young guns are fun to watch! Murry looks a lot taller than I expected.....All three guys have decent size and high athleticism. Great for defense and transistion.

Shump and THj are also becoming reliable shooters....Hope these guys can stick around this time, and not become trading chips!

taking QUALITY shots as a whole, as in 50% shots or higher, unless the shot clock is running out but we should try to execute and space the floor accordingly to not put us in that position

while being able to consistently and constantly anticipate when and how the players on the floor will shoot

We need to be able to communicate and find out the weakness of each team seeing who is cheating with match ups and who is open

-Faster pace. This team milks the clock way too much and gets poor movement.
-Penetration. When we get in the paint it opens up our outside game and the ball moves. When we don't we become stagnant.
-Commitment to playing smarter on both ends. I see physical effort a decent amount of the time but the lack of focus and/or preparation on defense is disgusting and on offense too many guys just want to get their shots/touches.

You really like watching all those unopposed dunks at the rim? You don't win series that way. Tyson has to play and be healthy doing so.

The key term here is healthy. I can't wait to see what level of fitness he returns at. A yellow flag is up on this guy. If he comes back with a weight loss, then it's red flag time. The Knicks should seriously look to trade him if this happens.
