Shumpert comes alive in the clutch, kid hit some timely 3's yesterday.
Hardaway JR reminds me of lance stephnson with a better shot. Athletic, runs the floor well, and can really throw it down (ask ray allen)
I do wanna see what tyler can do, dont want to run amare or kenyon into the ground
Well said. Agree with all points.
Regarding the Murry/Shumpert backcourt -- what I like most, beside the defense both guys bring, is the fact that both guys want to run and get out on the break. If you watch Shumpert, he'll rip down a rebound (very underrated rebounder for a SG) and race up the court only to slow it down because nobody bothered to run with him. Well this kid Murry will run with him. Hardaway too. There was a play yesterday where Murry ran a fast break only to slightly hesitate/fumble the pass off to Melo resulting in a turnover...Steve Kerr got on Murry a little saying he muffed the pass but I look at that differently -- if Melo really was running full speed and got out ahead of Murry, that was a dunk or a layup for sure...Because Melo only halfheartedly ran with Murry, Murry had to make a more difficult pass off to Melo at a bad angle. Melo ****ed that played up, not Murry..
Definitely want to see more Shumpert/Murry together. They both bring it on defense (like everyone else though, Murry looses site of his man on the perimeter resulting in wide open 3s at times but his man to man D is good, as are his quick hands), and I think it's our best combo to get out there and run and hopefully get some easy ones. Throw THJ in that mix as well.
Chandler (when healthy)
Melo
Shumpert
THJ
Murry (or Felton)
Let's see what that lineup could do.
