CDR and Kendall Marshall are both starting players on nba teams again. CDR was in the Knicks camp. There is no reason why he should be playing on another team at this point when the Knicks kept Chris Smith as their 15th man. Kendall Marshall was a beast last night in his first start. The guy compared to mjax had 20 and 16. How do you not sign a guy one year removed from being a lottery selection that addresses your biggest need? Marshall isn't a 20 and 16 guy but he is a very good point guard prospect and was there for the taking while Chris Smith was in Erie and on the end of the Knicks bench. Both of these guys are minimally nba rotation players and both could be starters. Not sure what the thought process was in regards to these two but I know it was wrong.

The Knicks are not all about winning. The JR smith starting thing and Chris Smith signing proved this to us a long time ago.

I felt that way about Marshall, not so much CDR. CDR has bounced around the league so much that I think that what he brings is expendable. Marshall though never got an opportunity.

I no it may not be right but I'd have to see Marshall out of MDA's system before I start hyping him up. That's very unfair to him and really thier is nothing wrong with being a system player.

Looking at the knicks situation and how they handled pre season, how could you day that about CDR? Ike diogu is another guy. What it comes down to is money and what a tans agenda is. If you make league minimum you will bounce around no matter what your talent says

We could have had Marshall instead of Chris Smith- at least evaluated him in preseason.

We could have picked him up but we made a decision to hold on to Murry. Don't cry for Marshall.... cry when Felton and Priggy comes back and Murry gets buried in the bench again

Chris smith took nobodys space.

We took Murry and he was the choice as 4th pg to develop.

Can't look in hindsight for every player that succeeds and think we could nabb them and they would also succeed.

MDA and his point centric system makes PG's look good.

It's difficult to add him because there were just so few roster spots available. I got nothing against his game, I actually liked him and his poise but we simply did not have a vacancy for him. I preferred Murry over him because of how awful our PG platoon is and if Chris Smith wasn't on the roster, Jeremy Tyler would be, and I prefer him a thousand fold to CDR. It's just the way the cookie crumbles in the league. There's been a number of guys on our team in the past that had become fan favorites who we had to cut e.g. Matt Barnes, Demetris Nichols, Matt Carroll, Henry Sims, etc. CDR was just the most recent victim of the numbers game.

CDR didn't make a case for himself in his brief time here. For whatever reason, he did not impress. CDR can play but I don't blame the Knicks for passing on him. More upset about Diogu who made a very good case for making the roster, more than JR's brother, thats for sure.

We're having a hard enough time getting THJ minutes too pine over a journeyman wing player with decent scoring ability. Ike is another guy who doesn't really address many of our glaring weaknesses. Kendall Marshall looked good, but he was playing against a team with PG defenders who are even worse than ours. I'm encouraged, but I think he needs to show more before he's labelled a rising star. I agree, it would be nice to see us take a shot on one more young guy, but health is an issue. Would you guys be down with giving Beno away when Prigs and Felton get healthy? I've seen enough from Cole Aldrich to feel comfortable cutting him. Is that a spot we should open up?

Ike Diogu playing well here at D-League Showcase. League sources say he could draw interest from Lakers, Clippers, Hornets and Thunder.

Not the Knicks I guess. At least we have Kmart back, for now.

Diogu will never live down that "switch to no one to allow the painfully free layup" lowlight. Woody still sees that clip every time he closes his eyes during a game. [Yes, he told me that]

Only Bargs and other vets get away with crap like that. Not NBDL tryer outers.

To continue to still cry over Chris Smith is wasted life better spent elsewhere. Money is money, agents are agents. Let that balloon go.
