I propose the anti-Smith's form a group to routinely bitch out JR Smith. What say the board?

He's a selfish, entitled, moronic, irresponsible, stubborn man-child that cares more about his "shoe swag" than learning to play basketball properly. I really hate him now

After his betrayal tweet, I'm tempted...
Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

He's a Knick for the foreseeable future, and we need him to contribute.

He also owned up to his mistake tonight.

Don't sign me up.

I don't hate him but I certainly would like for him to be held accountable for his behavior and his play on the court. I think his game where he didn't shoot deserved a suspension. I think his social media mishaps could be reason for suspension and I think his poor play should have him on the bench. The guy comes off a drug suspension and sabotages a game that could get his biggest defender and coach fired. Not much more to say about his maturity or character.

I hate JR so much right now that I would actually trade JR for Chris Smith right now. Just because Woodson could just bench Chris. For some
Reason, he plays JR. Move this ******* to the end of the bench and just sit him there for eternity. The guy is a cancer with absolutely no brains at all.

It's time for Woody to stop rolling the dice with JR. Sit his butt down until he gets it. Woody I am starting to wonder about.

Woodson's continued use and enabling of JR renders every single comment from Woodson about effort, teamplay and accountability laughable.

Watching this selfish, immature, me-first, low BB IQ fool get 30+ minutes (and 100% of crunch time) demonstrates this Coach must be replaced, and there is zero leadership from the 'stars' on that team.

I don't hate the dude but I am sick of him.

The knicks need to be actively shopping him. i can't see a team that would want him in their team. He's an *******.

Heck- we sure could waive him. We've eaten more money in the past.

Woodson needs to sit him crunch time for at least the next several games. Rookies make that mistake once, if that.

I don't hate him, not as a person anyway. This was meant to be more of a spoof. I agree with you though about needing to move him though. Maybe Portland would take him. Maybe an Indiana or Memphis. Whatever the market, it's certainly not bountiful.

For the record though, I never liked JR as a ball player but I began to change my opinion of him when he became a Knick. He was productive, albeit flawed, and showed a loyalty to the fanbase/franchise by signing contracts that were continually below his market value. Then last season happened and he played like a borderline all-star and was a major part in us becoming a real playoff contender. What's not to love about all of that? Once he got his guaranteed money though, it's like a switch went off and he reverted back to the same dude I couldn't stand. It may have all been a gimmick he was putting on until he could mail things in until he had another contract year to deal with. I hate looking stupid and it seems I was with J.R. (for changing my opinion of him).

He needs to but we know that won't happen. CAA's influence seems to be too strong to allow us to bench one of their clients. I think it's the only reason we've put up with JR this long.

JR reverted to that guy last season before he inked his deal. Failing a drug test for the third time, imploding in the playoffs, getting himself suspended, talking trash to Boston and not delivering, guaranteeing a win and not delivering. Its why I didn't want him to get a new deal. I had a feeling this would happen. As crush said, "no character".

You're right but I had been giving him the benefit of the doubt, since his play won me over. I was even defending him this year against dudes but enough is enough; my patience has worn thin. When we first signed him in 2011, all I wanted us to do was pump up his trade value to then sign and trade him (for someone like OJ Mayo). It seems my first inclination was the right way to go. Now, we might end up having to give up picks to move that contract of his (which I'd totally be against).

How does this guy have any trade value? He is poison on a young team and can't trust him under pressure for playoff bound team!

Im not down with the loyalty thing him signing below value. I don't really think too many teams were after him. It was a good fit for him to redeem himself and resurrect a career.

If anyone feels betrayed its woodson.
