To the main point, as long as he's not in jail, got to try to be a player in getting Kobe. Obviously, a longshot. Doesn't mean we sit back. Steph was a longshot too. And Kobe's one of the top 3 players in the game, IMO, and the best guard ... and he's still young. He's a step above Steph in talent and accomplishment, and he's proven he's a winner where Steph hasn't yet (think and hope Steph will, hopefully in NY, but we have to be realistic, it's an open question).

Seriously, how long would it take for any of us to start thinking of Kobe as "ours" if he were on the Knicks? One last second shot, or one hard foul against him, IMO.
