And while I have you're attention, why in God's name would you want Kobe Bryant here? To watch him lead the knicks to another 39 win season?

What players (and some fans) don't understand is that it takes one "stud", two "almost-studs," and a bunch of roll players to win championship.

How would trading Marbury (arguably a stud) and Houston (an almost-stud) for one great player get us any closer to post-season bliss? You think Kobe can beat tripple teams? You think the "Shandon and Kobe Show" will be a Broadway hit?

Lot of other teams that are much closer to having their championship run would offer alot more for him. Only possible way would be a sign and trade... No way the Lakers would facilitate this to get anyone from our squad.. when they could be offer much sweeter deals by most any other team.

first of all..............show of hands............when we were stuck with a pg combo of eisely and ward and prayed each day for an upgrade at pg,who ever thought we would end up with marbury (arguably the second best pg in the league). so dont tell me we stand a 0/100 chance of getting kobe. are chances are very slim but there is always a chance of obtaining any player at any time.

i really dont think we need him though. if we had a chance ofcourse i would take him, but i think we can use upgrades in other areas first. what we need to do is get some of our starters where they belong, the bench. we need a starting center and pf first and foremost. our pg, sg and sf are pretty good as they stand.
