I don't have a problem with them talking back to fans who send them abuse. I really don't like the way people think it's alright to send abuse to people over the internet. Reading youtube comments makes me feel sick most of the time. The bile that's tweeted or sent via Facebook is disgusting. People have a right to do their jobs without cowardly *******s sending them nasty stuff.

I think its fine venting frustration with the team on message boards (heck, I do it), but I think you cross a line when you send insults to them personally. I think a lot of folks are out of control on the internet, so I think it serves them right when these athletes answer back.

Agree with the JR betrayal one being annoying though!

I personally found melos incident hilarious
Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

For anyone wondering about "glazed donut face ass":

Carmelo and JR are too stupid to operate their own Twitter accounts.

Honey-Nut Cheerios… Donuts… He is definitely a scorer… it's all about the hole! He needs to just put out a cereal called 'MELOs already.

Or is it symbols of the glaring holes in this team?

The donut face dude's Twitter is hilarious, he's now accepting interviews for being snapped on.

Melo responded to "donut" boy correctly. He's not a psychologist, so fans shouldn't expect for him to deal with their bull****.

I am not mad at Felton's plea to "ride with us" though… it's a reasonable request for the frustrated fan. NY fans can be gracious and knowledgable, but also vicious, man!

I don't know how famous people – especially athletes - deal with social media hate without taking it personally… obviously it does hit them from time to time. It's one thing to hear something unsavory about your mother at Boston Garden… quite another thing to "hear" them through your smartphone while you are in your living room with your family.

And while I liked JR's Twitter-organized Critical Mass bike ride through Manhattan, he already got the digital gas face from Rihanna…

I find myself wishing I could time travel to the late 60s/early 70s… this 21st century is too much sometimes.
