3ppg 3.5rbs pg...

I know I was hoping the knicks would of grab him this past off season, but he refuse to sign with us for the mini level contract.
The hawks are paying him 4 mill+.

Thats about the best move we made this off season

Yeah, I didn't want to sign him. He's either lost the ability or a desire to be aggressive offensively.

No- we wanted to sign him but he chose the Hawk over us because they could offer him more money. However it saved us from ourselves (I did actually want Brand on the team), just like Cope did- he doesn't get any PT with the Pacers after they recruited him claiming he was 'the future of Pacers Basketball'- he ain't getting any younger, he must be mad at being glued to the bench.

No, the Pacers coach Vogel didn't want him playing against them from what they seen in the playoffs last yr

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

From Cope,
Last summer when Chris Copeland was determining his next basketball destination, he reached out to several former New York Knicks teammates, especially Jason Kidd.

“He definitely was instrumental in me making good decisions and steering me away from some situations that might have been not so good,” Copeland said Saturday. “With his experience and things he went through as a player, he helped me out big-time.”

Once again, conspiracy raises its' ugly head. Not only did Kidd screw the Knicks with his breakdown and subsequent "retirement" as a player turned coach of our cross town rivals. He further screws us by pushing our players out the door.

I wouldn't hold my breathe. I think they signed him to then move Danny Granger. When that dice falls, I expect Copeland to be getting his minutes. I'm hoping the Knicks have the saavy to dump JR (and filler) on them for Granger and a pick or two. It makes sense for both teams, allowing us to gain some flexibility with assets to build with for the future and it allows the Pacers to get the reigning 6th man of the year to solidify their bench. Yeah, JR is playing like **** right now but what are they really giving up? Picks they don't need and Granger who they don't want (based on Larry Bird's recent quotes). JR is trouble but the guy is talented and the Pacers have a track record of getting through to guys like that (see Lance Stephenson, Ron Artest, Stephen Jackson, etc.).

Can't say Ron and Jax worked out for them. If your right, who is the coach's that "get through to them"?

Granger is an expiring so why would they want to trade him and a couple of picks for JR? Is JR who is very prone to cracking under the pressure be an asset to get them over the top? Salaries dont match up.

IF you want to dump JR, you straight out have to get him out the door and hope someone has an expiring and WE DON"T HAVE TO GIVE UP A PICK!!!!
