this isn't surprising, lowery has been playing outstanding lately, like i said he would. dolan is a ****ing idiot. he allows all kinds of stupid ****ing moves, throwing away first rounds left and right, but when we actually have a deal in place to get the right player at the right time for us he vetoes because of the first rounder. you seriously can't make this ****ing **** up!

I like Lowry, but he's not enough to turn this crap storm around. I'd rather save the pick at this point.

Please stop saying that...

The knicks need to make this trade then follow it up with a move to get another big. Regardless something had to be done to start the change....

simply sayings that Lowry isn't enough is not saying anything at all. It's just a fan saying something cuz there's nothing else to say. Someone says it in every thread. We gotta be smarter than that as fans. Of course we need more than getting Lowry...... but we need this Lowry trade to Halen 2 weeks ago so or focus can go cleaning up the rest of the roster

he's not going to save us, but we need to start collecting players that can play. we get lowery now, it sures up our PG spot for the next 5 years atleast (contingent on resigning him after this year.) lowery is definitely a guy you can build with and i think would immediately make us a much better team, not only because of his play but the toughness that he brings every time he's on the court.

Like Lowry too but I gotta agree with BigDaddy here. Gotta draw a line in the sand somewhere and say enough's enough. With Lowry are we better? Yeah, but how much better? Elite team? A championship-level squad? No. Probably not even a .500 squad. So what's the point? Trade for this dude, surrender yet another 1st round pick, don't even make the playoffs or get bounced in the 1st round and Lowry walks in the off-season --or-- we resign him for a long-term mid-level deal and hamper our ability to rebuild by adding said salary. No thanks. Just doesn't make sense to me. If we make the move for Lowry and resign him we'll then turn around and resign Melo to a huge deal which guarantees this team will remain intact. Do we really want that at this point? Not sure if that's the best thing now. I'm really leaning toward breaking it all down and starting over.

In the meantime, if we want a PG upgrade -- try trading Cole Aldrich + cash to NO for Pierre Jackson --or-- Aldrich + cash to Houston for Isaiah Canaan. If we come up empty on these two fronts, sign Kalin Lucas to a 10-day contract. This guy's no Magic Johnson but I think he could be a decent pro. Above average quickness, handle and offensive game. Clutch little player in college at Mich. State too...

Also, I'd waive Kenyon Martin -- plays hard, I get that, but he can't stay healthy. Dude's in the twilight of his career -- he's not a long-term solution here anyway. Call up Richard Howell, Ike Diogu or Jeremy Tyler. Actually waive another player or 2 and grab 2 of these guys...See if we can grab a good young piece or 2 to move forward with.

I'd trade Shump but not a pick. I think shumps value is going to continue to plummet this season.

I would be more agreeable to this trade if Shump was the crucial piece to make it happen. Lowry is a good, but he's still someone I see as upgradeable. Why panic at this point. We suck. Moves we make at this point need to be made with an eye toward winning a championship, not slipping into the first round of the playoffs and getting bounced.

You know what's interesting is that it seems so far, I'll say it again so far, the F.O. is not trying to jump the gun even though they are in a pickle and if you believe the rumor mill they are targeting quality players. I wouldn't exactly put Lowery on the quality list but he does play D and is an upgrade but is probably not worth a 1 by himself.

Thank God. I like Lowry but they wnated Hardaway and a 1st round pick. The Knicks cant keep givign away 1st round picks like they're giving away free candy. I mean ist time to start developing takent from 1st round picks

None of it matters. Getting another point guard or another big man won't matter. The problem is the way the Knicks play offense (little to no ball movement, too many long jumpers) and the lack of effort and smarts on defense.

We were sending a pick but they were giving up the best player by far and bailing us out of $10 or 15 mil in bad salaries. That's a fair deal (as long as Lowry commits to staying long-term)

We need a plan b though. Im good with not trading for Lowry, but what's next?

Felton popped his groin.... the basketball gods keep smiting this dude. He needs to be replaced. Beno and Toure are what we have so be it. Roll with them but do something to improve the rest of the team. We can't play Orlando every night.

+1

We let Lin walk and now we don't have the "assets" for him. Stick out this mess that Dolan created. No sense in trading away picks when we have little chance of really compeing. But we saved money, green font.

We should have signed Seth Curry, but we have Chris!!!
