After so many years of wishing for a true point guard and a native new yorker at that, are you guys willing to trade Marbury for let say an impact player?

Why should we trade him? out of 82 games, he only played in 45 as a Knick. Don't you think that he needs at least a year with a good supporting cast before judging him???

Yes, I'd trade Marbury in a sec because i'm confident that Frankie will get even better in his third year, and Marbury is the only guy on our squad who can return a Superstar.

Gary Payton leaving LA, mailmman getting older, Kobe wanting PJ and ShAQ gone.....

coule lead to a trade of
Steph and KT for Shaq
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Just a question.I always liked him since the 1st time i saw him play, and hell yeah if he had the supporting cast,he'd would flourish with a full season under his belt...But what if we can get Kobe for Steph and other players? will you pull the trigger if you the G.M.? I would...

I wouldn't do it. Steph is a New Yorker. Develop a little loyalty for your own kind.

I agree i dont want to trade him cuz he is from NY... have some loyalty.. Who would u rather see win a championship in MSG.. someone who will REALLY apreciate it like Marbury.. or someone like shaq who alraedy has a few and could care less about NYC and wat it means to the people that live here

I love the fact that marbury is on our team, but maybe im biased he has been my fav player since back in the G.tech days

i only wish spree was still here to ride with him, i would love to see spree and steph celebrating with champaigne over a championship in NY

He's been my fav. player since I was in 6th grade watching him lead Lincoln to his first city championship.

For Kobe I'd do it. LA isn't trading Shaq. Stef's my fav. player, but to get Kobe, I don't think you can turn that down.

I really wouldnt want to trade Steph...but if the right player was offered, I'd consider it.

Elite makes a great point. Can't wait to see Marbury celebrating after we win atleast one round next year.

After this championship run Shaq will have nothing to look forward to unless he is heading east. Shaq would be the most dominating force in the easy east. What the heck, if he takes NY championship his MVP cannot be denied, and he will be considered the greatest center ever....yup, MVPs & championships in both conferences....WOW!

We always knew Ewing's replacement had to be equal or better for NY to go championship. Why settle for less, anything else is a compromise. Can you imagine a team stating to go championship as a season goal?...I almost forgot, the cliche is rebuilding

We had this argument before and I'll say it again...

I don't want that b*tch Kobe on my team...

and 2...

if Kobe or Shaq won it on the Knicks then I'd feel like LA won it more then NYC.

HAVE SOME F*CKEN NYC PRIDE!!! And don't be a bandwagon jumping sellout!

Then why don't you save yourself some time right now and just root for the Lakers?

Yankee fans did'nt feel rejected adding Mr. October or the Rocket to their World Series championships

You can't compare basketball to baseball, Shaq or Kobe single handedly change a team. ONE player on a BASEBALL ROSTER does not change a team as much as ONE BASKETBALL PLAYER ON A BASKETBALL TEAM. Whether you have Clemens, Boggs or Jackson on the Yankees they are still the Yankees. Would winning with Kobe or Shaq REALLY be that satisfying to you? If yes, then you just think differently then I do. It's called lack of loyalty and is a classic example of classic bandwagon jumping.
I must assume then that you wouldn't mind winning a championship with Reggie Miller, Mourning, Kidd, K.Martin, TimHardaway, Collins, PJBrown. And yes Kobe and Shaq are not really Knicks killers, but I always assumed a prerequisite for being a Knicks fan was hating those 2 ****s.
And just to let YOU know, I wasn't trying to single YOU out, cause I've read that a few people on this MSG BOARD wouldn't mind having Kobe. I was addressing everyone as a whole.

WTF do you know about NYC pride...loser

Apparently not much... I've only lived here for the past 24 years.

So I ask the question again? If you have the chance to get let say Lebron or Garnet or duncan or Carmelo or Mcgrady for steph you wouldn't do it? dont tell me about pride I'd been rooting for NY for 30 years thru good and bad. believe me there been more bad than good.

I would pull the trigger in a second on any of those deals as long as we keep FWill to man the point.

You are delusional. Getting Shaq would NOT win us a championship. The best it would do would get us to the conference finals. LA, with a MUCH better supporting cast than anything we would be able
to offer Shaq did NOT win the championship last year. What makes
you think a team of FW, Shandum, TT, Sweetney and Shaq (notice
no second all-star?!) could come out of the East, let alone win
the championship?

P.S. - the above is predicated on the fact that I believe H2O is
done. And even if he's not, he's no Kobe.

My above point being said... I DO agree I'd still do any of the above deals -- just don't think it will take us to the championship.

Nobody is untouchable on a team that won 39 games and got swept out of the first round.

If we could get one of the league's true superstars ... Shaq (that seems implausible), Kobe, TMac, etc. ... I'd do it. Just think those guys are better players than Steph. Wouldn't trade him for AI, though, because he's got too much baggage and isn't a clear step up (Kobe's got the baggage, too, but IMO is a top 3 player, a level above AI).

Simple answer, no. Steph will be a Knickebocker for a long time.
