A quick look around the league at former Knick players who are still in the league after the greaat Knicks purge and rebuild:

Jorts, Copeland, Mason Jr, Fields, Novak, Harrington, Gallo, W. Chandler, Moz, Nate, Lee, Douglas, Crawford, Hill, Randolph, Brewer, Turiaf, Frye, Lin...

As I look at that list, and at our current roster I can see nothing has changed. I find it difficult to find more then a few legitimate NBA starters, most are role players and one dimensional ones at that. We still have no cap room or draft picks, and our best player is going to opt out after this season.

Man, it is hard to be a Knicks fan. Sorry if this post has no real point, I'm just very disgusted right now and need to vent.

We have cap space coming up, a lot of it. And if anything the list of players should tell you we haven't lost much in the various moves we have made over the last few years. David Lee was the biggest lost. We had a nice little run last year, having one of our best starts in franchise history and our best season overall in recent memeory. It was short-lived, but worth it. Now we must be patient, retool, and luckily the resources to do that are only 1 season away.

A lineup of Lin, Crawford, Gallo, DLee, Moz would be fun to watch. Add a bench of The Mayor, Jorts, Copeland, Fields, TD would be a good bench too.

Fun to watch definitely, but not very good.

To bad he's gone, he would have made a good wing man for JR

You couldnt find a Douglas or Fields "fan" their last years as a Knick but now suddenly they would be good to have in our bench...and what in the hell is so "fun" about Moz?? Or Jorts for that matter?? Is he even playing in the NBA right now??

I always enjoyed the discussions on Field's mathematical grasp of the parabola of jumpshots. The TD dribble to the baseline and back for no apparent reason threads were great diversions as well.

Depends on how you look at it. Better than this 3-13 team, maybe. Better than the team with a healthy Chandler, probably not. Even remotely on the same planet as the team that won 54 games last season and went to the 2nd round, absolutely not. But more fun to watch and more likeable because of age, youth, home-grown talent, probably. Seems like those are the things that matters around here. The fact that people here liked the 2010 team better than the 2012/2013 team proves that.

I think it has a lot to do with that. Myself personally, I would rather suffer with the yoots and see them grow than keep starphuching (credit to Nalod) every year and going nowhere. Who's is to say that that group I mentioned above would not be successful? Fields and TD would be valuable bench players. You also have LiL Nate in that group for comic relief. You have a stretch 4 in Frye. That picture of him with the little boom box and a cute blonde is well worth it
