I was thinking of that but he can command at the very least 8 mill a year with the season he just came off of.

I'd like him because he can rebound well and he has a killer instinct. He's definately a Knick type of player. He's a pop your collar, get the crowd involved, pump your teamates, make a statement type player. He does alot of things well. I could see him and Marbury together.

The 5.1 exemption is about double what he makes now. I could work. Isiah just as to focus on the guy he wants and simply talk to him. Isiah brings alot fo respect back to the Knicks and I think players will entertain the opportunity to play for Isiah.

The Garden would love him.

I think Q signs with Denver. They'll be able to give him more money and a chance to play with 'Melo.

I think the same thing with happen. Melo with Q would be a great young duo.

Knicks gotta get someone though....it seems like there are alot of better than average perimeter players out there....free for the taking. Knicks gotta get one of them....

we don't need a SG unless its Kobe or Tracy. We have Houston and he is perfect next to Stephon. If we have to then we can go with Steph at Sg and Frank at PG. What we really need is an Atheletic PC/C. If it's Swift hopefully he can start and therefore blossom into a top-notch PC/C.

I don't want to have to go into another season with all our hopes on the health of one player.

Frank and Marbury starting together could make sense. I just wanna solidify something as soon as possible because the Knicks should be focused on playing games not what their starting backcourt is from game to game.

I say the Knicks should immediately buyout Shandon Andersons contract. Then make a run at a young shooting guard. They also need to make an attempt at signing a young power fwd. Sign, sign trade, regular trade...whatever.

I want the Knicks to be 2 deep at every position that way if Houston is hurt the season isn't in lombo.

hopefully Demarr can be that insurance. We can always draft one too. Most 2nd round surprises are Guards. We have to address our athletism in the front court via free agency. Isiah was wrong in thinking the Knicks got more athletic in the front court with Nazr. They did a little but Nazr is kind of clumbsy.

He's gonna want more than that. Seriously, I think we should move Nazr for one of Memphis' wing players.

I think Q-Rich would be an excellent pick-up for the Knicks. He plays bigger than he is and has a reputation for being tough--- and yes, he rebounds (someone's gotta make up for TT's poor board work). He certainly has had a tendency to have big games against the Knicks.

Do we have anything remotely attractive that the Lakers might consider valuable? Maybe Mohammed?

As far as Houston goes, I fear that he's done as a quality player. The surgery was probably a mistake. He took a chance that it'd help alleviate his chronic knee pain, but in the end he may never fully recover. Can anyone think of another aging player who returned to form after knee surgery this late in his career? I don't know if you can count on him playing even 60+ games/season from now on.

What can DerMarr do? How much upside does he have? Will he be back? I made a post a few months ago listing all of the productive SGs in the league drafted AFTER him. All I recall is that it was pretty long. Can he develop a winning game--- cuz as it stands, he's not even close to being as good as Hubert Davis (is he on the Nets roster?!).

A pure spot up shooter/defender (think Trent Tucker-type) would do wonders for this team. We don't have a good mix of players right now.

I'm with you on this. Houston should be fine, also don't forget that he won't have to carry the team like he sued to do over the last few years.

We also have the opportunity to use Fwill for the 3 guards combo, could be very powerfull.

We have a much glaring need in the paint.

For one to state that a SG is not needed is absurd. We don't know if Houston will ever recover from his injuries. We know one thing for sure, it is very easy to add a SG, since we don't have any money to acquire a big man at the moment. If we can get a SG that can do a much better job than Anderson and Houston combine, we will be ok. As for buying out S. Anderson, it makes no sense specially if we could be able to trade his crazy contract to another team.
