Anyone else hear of this Puerto Rican (7'2", 260) who is only 18.

Definitely somebody I'd like to take in the 2nd round and just put him into training with Aguirre, Williams, and Abdul-Jabbar. Looks like a nice prospect, young, very big.

That's the type of player I'm looking at in the 2nd round if I can't get a polished NCAA guy who can contribute next year a la Marquise Daniels.

Read something on Realgm about him that said scouts like him more than Pavel Podzkoline.

Notes: Ramos is averaging 20.4 pts, 9.6 rebounds, 3.5 assists and a league leading 2.3 blocks. He has faced some tough competition against players such as Richard Lugo, Lee Benson, Anthony Bonner, Junior Burrough Kitwana Rhymer and the legendary Jose Ortiz.

Wait a minute, is that the Anthony Bonner that was a Knick 10 years ago? Anyways, this kid just may go lottery, from what I read somewhere else, he is now something like 7'4 280 lbs, so I doubt very much that we will get him unless Isiah can pull off some type of trade. It is good to see that Puerto Ricans are starting to make it in this league(like Carlos Arroyo and Carmelo Anthony).

2nd round? this guy is projected as a top ten pick. as far as big men, this draft is being predicted as one of the deepest ever.

How you know that Carmelo is rican?

The question is how can you not know that melo is rican? have you been protesting logging in the amazon by sitting in a tree for the last few months?

He is the first bonafide puerto rican star in the league that i know of.

yeah yeah, i know he's only half, but if black folks can claim halle berry, then we can claim carmelo as our own!
