![]() think before you compare
playa - The Big O is the only player in NBA history to average a triple-double for a season. For his career, Robertson had 181 triple-doubles. Without a three point line. Crazy good. once a knick always a knick

How beautiful if nothing more
Than to wait at Zion's door
I've never been in love like this before
Now let me pray to keep you from
The perils that will surely come

![]() playa - really? You need to think about the Hall of Fame, game changing players like Bill Russell, Wilt, Elgin Baylor, Sam Jones, Jerry Lucas, Jerry West, Willis Reed, Walt Frazier, Gus Johnson, Nate Thurmond, before you characterize a golden era of NBA hoops as weaker and slower.
You write like a person who never witnessed the Celtics or Sixers fast break. once a knick always a knick

They were weaker, they were never as strong as guys today. Same for football, they were slower and weaker back then, there is no denying that. The farther you go back mista, the slower and weaker they were. Mind you I didn't say they weren't smart or fundamentally sound playing the game..

![]() I used to always feel bad for Mitch Richmond- poor guy, exiled to the Kings for most of his career, but I don't remember him complaining.

Playa - slower and weaker? Based on what metric? 1. how fast did Bob Hayes run the 100 meters? 2. What sport did Wilt Chamberlain compete in other than basketball? 3. Did yo ever see the Celtice play in person during the sixties? 4. What were the body measures of Buck Buchanan, Nate Thurmond, Otis Taylor and George Mikan? 5. How fast was Tiny Archibald, end to end, on the dribble? once a knick always a knick

That's more than a lot of people can say. Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right.

The names you mention were the exception, it's the guys they played against is what I'm referring to.
