Amare looks like he could actually make a comeback. He is very quick with his moves inside. He's not a good defender or rebounder but he's a superb finisher.

Maybe this bull**** restrictions is to keep him healthy enough to trade. Only explanation. Salary dump and try to get value and cap space to accelerate this reload.

I don't know. I think they'd inflate his minutes and his stats if they wanted to trade him. Still, I expect that the only way to trade him is to take back an overpaid player with a longer contract. It might be a less overpaid player who's less of a health risk but it would be worsening our cap situation for the long-term.

Wishful thinking, a competent front office couldn't move amar'e for anything substantial. The only deals you're getting for him are packages like the celtics offered, which are clearly counterproductive.

He actually said he wants to be in the hall of fame. He's said it before. It sounds crazy after a loss during a dive bomb of a season.

I personally can't take him. I'd rather see him play 30 minutes a game. He wants to be good so let him dictate his own career. I'd rather he burn out than pay him every once in a while. I'd rather put him on the shelf all together and let him earn it in practice. He's a joke right now unless he's dunking the basketball.

People will only take him as an expiring contract, which means any trade would mean us taking back a longer deal or two, which would mean less cap space in 2015. We stink so badly it's just not worth taking on salary for a minor improvement this season.

I think most believe he won't last these 2 remaining years. So spreading out his playing time will make it seem like we got more out of him.

And I think the extra recovery time will help delay or lessen future injuries.

Amare is untradeable right now. nest year he is an expiring contract so tahts the only possibility but certainly nobody will take him now

Agreed but I bet Dolan wants to do whatever it takes to make the 8th seed

We neeed to win some games to get 8 place so they should run him into ground while he has some left.

I think playing him more minutes would probably land him on the IR within a couple of weeks. I think it will also expose us too much on defense. He can give us a nice offensive boost... but too much Amare would be a bad thing I think.

I'm looking forward to getting Tyson back soon. I hope he remembers how to shoot that mid-range jumper he teased us with.

Until then, only the Raptors have fewer losses than us in our division. Sad, but helpful.

no one is dumb enough to trade for Amare unless it is to unload bad contracts on us. A few flashy dunks will not change anyones mind. He had a few flashy dunks last year also and we saw where that got us.

No one's taking Amar'e. The rest of the league is laughing at the fact that he's on our team.
Are we preserving Amar'e so we can trade him?
