A. Get a thurough evaluation of what ills H2O--force him via his contract to get multiple diagnosis and come up with a plan after something has been established.

B. We have to address the glut in the paint and try to be pro-active getting another 6-11+ guy who can play. Nazr Sweetney Baker Dikembe Harrington Thomas. Obviously some of these guys will not be back and I dont think anyone is untouchable here, NO one for the right deal/

C. We have to identify what max players will be available and what would be right for this team. My thinking will lead me back to Michael Finley, but it will cost us Sweetney and ending contracts. Id much rather go in a younger direction, but at this point, the way the Knicks do things--being a win now team---are they going to bring in more younger players? If it was me, Id break this team down quite a bit BELIEVE ME--but Isiah wont IMHO.

I see an Isiah offseason as trade for Finley perhaps spending the MLE on Mark Blount and adding one rookie through the 2nd round

something like
Deke Harrington cesary Sweetney for Finley
add Mark Blount resign Baker to the lower exemption
and add one athletic rookie through the second round resign Demarr

i dont want this to happen but i think it will be a model that will be close to the reality of what this guy will do.

In case youmissed the memo, Scott Layden no longer runs the team.

The current team can get to the playoffs, that was shown this year. I think Isiah sees the teams two biggest problems: no athleticism on the frontline and backcourt depth.

1) Target Swift and Chris Anderson via FA --> I don't think the Grizz match Swift to a full MLE, and if you offer Chris Anderson the same thing they offered Doleac and I think he would sign.
2) Jamal Crawford or Flip Murray --> trade for one of them. Both teams could use a PF (Chicago, take on Davis or JYD and give up KT and an expiring contract).
3) Buy out Shandon Anderson.
4) Do well with the 2nd rounder. You can get quality now in the 2nd round.

PG-Marbury, Williams
SG-Houston, Crawford
SF-TThomas, Penny
PF-Sweetney, Anderson
C- Swift, Mohammed

I like Williams, he's got a set and showed heart. Penny's a nice vet to have coming off the bench. I like TT as the 3rd option. Put Swift, CAnderson, and Sweetney in a strict workout regimen and make them work with Abdul-Jabbar, Aguirre, and Herb Williams every day. DerMarr Johnson should hit the weights too.

Utilize Harrington, Mutumbo, and Trybanski with their expiring contracts.

i think agenda 1 finding out if H2O is healthy --his status-- might be prescient--that has to be agenda 1, to many people pencil him in as the starting SG thinking he can play 80 games 36 minutes a night--we have no idea whether H2O will ever play again.

swift is an option a reasonable option but i doubt hes coming here and hes a bit small to play C although he could fit the bill as an athletic 4. i dont think that memphis will just give swift away--why would they? im sure that if they did not want him--they could sign and trade him Jery west is not going to give assets away for nothing.

chris andersen high energy bench player who kiki said they wer resigning. i dont know how much he can help us anyway but the point is mute

could we sign and trade KT for Crawford --its possible but if they get Ok4 it will never happen likelihood 10%

who knows ill check in next year later

I dont understand where you came up with Finely... just because he will be available doesnt mean we will get him. Isiah has said time after time he wants to get younger and more athletic.

While its clear we need a shooter its much more clear we need a defender in the post. I'm confident ISiah can find a low budget solution at 2 guard. Trading up to the very end of the first round with a team that doesnt want a draft a guarenteed player (like SA last year) will be easy. Use the #2's or one this year and a #2 next year and take Ricky Paulding.

Also once TT is back we can do a lot of worse than Penny as a stop gap 2.

Its clear now why Isiah did NOT want to trade Frank Williams. This kid is tough and might have had the biggest impact in this very short series.

Personally I think our best bet is to be patient with this group. Try to add an athletic presence off the bench, like Chris Anderson. Go into next year with essentially the same line up, just giving Frank and Sweetney a bigger role.

we just need Allan to get healthy and there's no reason why he shouldn't with all the rest he's gonna get.

What we need is a real PF/C id we are going to add anyone.

let me add that no one on this team in untradeable. So if they wanted to trade Tim and Steph for something better they should and will.
