the official line is he is resting....but I have to wonder, does he have whiplash from watching EVERY opposing guard in the league run past him?

on a side note, I saw Stat yesterday and he looked in a very bad mood. He never even looked at or said a single word to any of the kids running up to him to say hello. Have to wonder what's up there as he seems to be a friendly and engaing guy to his fans, especilly the kids, normally

Feel bad for the guy he should be playing 30 minutes a game. Knicks are leaving him out to dry.

Amare, I am a believer that Knee issues tend to get better with PT, once it is healed. If Amare's knee isn't healed then he shouldn't be out there.

I wish man... but I think you have it backwards. I used to rehab and lift and go nuts to build up my knee after surgery. After 5-6 years one season I simply opted to do nothing but normal light exercise and that following year was my best. Wear and tear and mileage is the enemy.

I feel bad for Amare because we had in him everything we coveted. He was a closer (led league in 4t qtr scoring). He was a mentor (teaching Gallo and Chandler). He embraced NY. He turned us from a lottery team to a playoff team. He was willing to work and always get beter but his body simply failed him. It happens.

Depends on what type of surgery. I have been dealing with an arthritic knee since 12. I run every other day and initially the knee hurts but then it loosens up and the pain subsides. I even had a baker cyst a few years back I think Amare had that too. Anyway my sports med doc told me keep running and rupture the cyst. It's when I take a break from running and get back my knee almost always flares up. Amare is an athlete so his case is on another level the amount of torque put on the Knees must be crazy.

Dude's hammy was still hurting, you could tell before how he blew by people and played decent defense by blocking pg's jumpshots, he also finished consistently early on, then after the injury he couldn't finish or stay in front pg's.

I never seen a player nurse a hamstring injury for nearly a month. Even baseball where hamstring injuries are more common the players return in 2 weeks.

Also if you have a bad hamstring you sit out. You don't play through it like you would a sore ankle.

Felton is not hurt. He sucks

Was his hamstring hurt last year when the Jeff teagues Isiah Thomas Lin john walls of the world were blowing past him

Even Luke ridnour?

Felton doesn't seem to sit out for anything. It is a testament to his character but not be the smartest thing or the best thing for the team in some cases. Beno and Murry certainly could pick up some of his minutes.

Exactly, even when Felton's fingers were jammed up he played until he couldn't deal with it or was unproductive.

i'm sure hearing about the knicks attempting to get rajon rondo isn't helping. Felton is on the decline.

Rest the dude and play Beno..he played the guy 41 minutes on a bad hamy like he had no other option. I don't know what to say about woodsons thinking..the guy is sucking right now, give him a wk off. Playing him major minutes in back to back games in november...really

Thats the problem with having outside drama and being desperate, you can't focus..

Imagine playing an intense game of chess and someones running there mouth over your shoulder about some other BS, thats what woody is dealing with now, not knowing who the hell to play, or when to play them..

if he's hurt we should play udrih, prigs, and murry. i have no idea why we have 4 pgs on the roster and were so happy about signing beno if we're not giving them minutes when Felton is clearly either hurt or just in decline.

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

He just said, ‘I’m not making any excuses, but my hamstring is killing me,’ ” Manning said in a telephone interview. “I can tell. With me being here in town, and us not going to the gym last night, that tells me what kind of state he’s in. I know how much he likes to work, but he just wants to rest at this point. Ray is not one to rest.”

A large part of Felton’s game, Manning said, is predicated on his ability to get into the lane. Once there, Felton has two options. If he draws defenders, he can pass the ball to an open teammate under the basket. Or, if he has the space, he can come to a jump stop and launch a short floater.

In recent weeks, though, both options have been limited, Manning said. With Chandler sidelined, Felton has been operating without a reliable post presence if he penetrates and the defense collapses. And because his plant leg is injured, Felton is missing his usual explosion when he does shoot. He has converted only half his attempts within five feet of the basket.

“The last thing you want to do when you have a hamstring injury is come to a quick stop and shoot,” Manning said.

As a result, Felton has settled for more outside jumpers, with 34 of his 109 field-goal attempts coming from 3-point range.

This has not been an especially sound strategy for Felton, who has made seven of them, or 20.6 percent.

“The lift is not there,” Felton said. “But no excuses. I’ve got to figure it out.”

Hamstring injuries are notorious in the length of time they take to heal.

He needs to shut it down- I like him but he's giving us nothing- I'd rather he rested and came back when he's able to contribute.
