Well, you're comparing Melo to the two best in the game at drawing fouls.
I'd be interested in seeing how he compares to the next tier in terms of foul-drawing.

Like I said those are interesting numbers for a guy who shoots at the rim at a similar rate but yet has a vastly different free throw rate and like the quote said this is without the transition baskets factored out because Melo doesn't get the same transition rim attempts. So I'd imagine it would look even worse.

Woodson needs to really work on how his team defends against penetration. It's not just Bargs, but everyone on the team is doing the wrong thing to prevent penetration. They aren't defending as a unit. Doesn't matter who's in the game. Just watch their positioning and how they don't play the PnR. There's no way they can cut off penetration the way they're setting up. On top of that opposing guards are getting a running start cuz we aren't picking them up early enough on D.

thats why i'm kinda wondering why folks are singling out Amare, they give up just as many layups when he's on the bench..

I was JUST YELLING that to my sons. Where is the hustle from this team! Bargs is actually giving more effort than many of the other Knicks. It's basically selfish JR, ineffective Felton and Headcase SHump due to the Knicks Org. ONly Melo and Bargs are doing anything.

Barga said they can do what ever they want to offensively, so who knows where to be at any given time ?

Bargs is starting to do a better job trapping the PnR game after game. I think that's easier for him.

too many players not performing as well as they once had, injuries or not.
