It's a long NBA season but I would imagine that people are feeling foolish for thinking that they could compete with the Heat. The cherry on top is that they have NO picks for the foreseeable future. Yeah, we got it bad but at least it's not Nets-bad!
I'm devil's advocate again with the NardDog tonight. Nets have to learn together with a revamped roster. We have the same roster pretty much, and can't get it together quite yet. Nets have a chance to try new things, new schemes, and have multiple floor generals to make it work as it goes along. We will play the same way all year even if other teams put the kibosh on our ISO ball without a true floor general.
With that said, we have continuity on our side. If this negative vibe ends, juices get flowing, and the team hits their open shots, keeps the FG% 40+, and plays team D like they did in the 4th tonight for most of the game, every game, there's a lot going for us to take this division again.
Duplicate thread.
Same roster pretty much? Seriously? Same from when? We didn't even have a "same roster" for most of last season.
And NardDog is right on, which is something I've said from the start: If the Knicks traded away what the Nyets did for KG and PP, everyone other than tkf would be gone from this board.
Deron is Deron and has yet to display what he was in Utah. Don't worry, it's only been a few years.
JJ is what? We're still waiting for the new JoeClutch to emerge.
Bropez just makes me laugh, and is another foot injury away from resting until the playoffs.
