I guess I thought that with the main players from last year returning, that wouldn't be an issue, but we look like a team that has never played together before. Hopefully we develop some over the coming weeks- I'd like to see them showing a bit more emotion. At the moment it feels like 5 separate guys trying to do their own thing.
smackedd - you have captured something The Answer Man observed by just watching (thanks Yogi) last night. Something intangible is off. Don't know whether it is the constant roster turnover, pounding the ball without forethought... or the expressions on their faces. Whether it is Carmelo's insipid poking of his dome when he makes a shot, or Tim Hardaway Jr mugging after his fancy dunk... there is no time for personal demonstrations, get back on defense.
It's too individual.
Hit the open man.
That Melo, poking his head after making a three, is childish and a holdover from the 'Sheed days. It should have left when he did. On the other issues, you're right, the mugging, the ISOs, all start with the coach and what he allows. Sure an ISO here and there has its' place, but this can not be the offensive plan. Better to bring back
SSOL offense than what we're doing now.
