even though he is hurt Id make sure I claim Tyler for our team going 4ward--I would drop Chris Smith in two seconds and make sure I sign Tyler to a 2 year contract for the min with club option on yr 3. Its almost like Miami swagging Oden-- for what it would cost us to get him--if Chandler is gone--we must put something in our back-pocket.

I'd prepare for news that he's out for the year. Looked like a ligament. Too bruised to see on x ray is always a bad sign.

Strange because it looked like a blunt type hit--usually that has to do with bone

Probably a sprained knee. 3-4 week variety. I agree with Briggs.

That's the impression I got as well. Praying it's a bone bruise, out just a few games...Fingers crossed.

The knee flexed inward which might mean ligament sprain.

I hope so man. We can survive for a month without him IF WOODSON PLAYS THE RIGHT LINEUP

To me it looked like an obvious ligament injury. It is the type you see in football all the time where one player has his leg planted and another runs into the knee. The same type of injury that ended Channing Fryes rookie season. This one just hit tyson on the side of the knee instead of head on like Frye. Actually melo had a less severe version of this last season when Camby fell into his knee.

Chandler was showing signs of improvement so I think this was a huge blow....

Definate ligament issue...the way he walked off suggested so. Looks like we're going to need to stop Babying out front court depth and put guys into the fire. Play for your teammates not the playoffs...knicks might not make the playoffs ****ing around with this bull**** front court nonsense

If Chandler is out for any amount of significant time, we are screwed. I am talking about a couple of weeks. We cannot rely on Martin and Amar'e to stay healthy.

We are playing bad enough as is with him.

I just heard they said the x-rays for Chandler were "inconclusive." That's worrisome. I assume they'll do an MRI now.

We are stuffed- the position we're thinnest at, one of the most important players on this team goes down- so annoying! Thank goodness we've got 5 PG's though- maybe Chris Smith can fill in for him!

I'd rather this than broken or torn knee, but the 'inconclusive' thing worries me

It woulda been nice to pick up Haddadi in the offseason. This is not just hindsight, posters were calling for the front office to sign him evem when Tyler wasn't hurt.

Yes this would have been a good move along with Whiteside and Fab Melo.

That's today. Say your prayers and keep your fingers crossed.

funny how it took an injury like that for the hatters to realize how important he is to the Knicks

Chandler is only important because the Knicks didn't replace him with anyone.

Usually a negative x-ray means there's no fracture. I take "inconclusive" to mean they can't tell if there's a fracture.
