It is on tv for twc free trial but I remember broadband as having an excellent picture last year.

I would do it but I'm terrible at keeping track of free offers and I inevitably miss the cancellation period. Then you're on the phone with them, with your bank, etc.,

So I just avoid them.

Yup, frankly it sucks so far this year. I have been a subscriber for several years, and it's as bad as ever right now. Half the games are simply not working.

They haven't even replied to my emails complaining and asking when the service will start working properly. In fact, I think I will email them again...

i guess they are overwhelmed by email complaints these past days ... they answered to some of my emails one week ago. At least they must be aware of the issues and hopefully are working on them. Hopefully, because the subscription to their service is not that cheap

That's exactly what I pointed out to them in my latest email. It is unacceptable for this not to be working. You can't charge over 100 bucks for this and have it not work.

Both Knick games have worked for me so far, but once a Knick game is not working, then I am going to lose it. (One of the preseason Knick games did not work and I was mighty upset).

Optimum TV... free trial... low def. Seriously?

Clearly they don't want any more of my money.

Optimum LP is Standard Def in TV. Broadband looks nice though but I like watching in my big TV.

I have a streaming service called playon. I came across it when twc and msg were fighting and knick games were blacked out. There is a lot to playon. When I started streaming I was doing it wirelessly through my son's Wii. The picture was pretty bad. I bought a roku and just got a roku 3 for my birthday. The roku 3 has an Ethernet connection so the buffering issues that come up with wireless are gone and the picture is high def if the content is in high def. Playon has free plugins that users can get. I have several sport plugins and with the roku 3 can watch games in almost the same quality as the trial league pass from twc. Playon offers a free trial for two weeks. You can use a wii, xbox or playstation to view their content. The roku 3 works really well. I purchased a playon lifetime license for $40 when the dispute didn't end during the two week trial period. In the past my computer got viruses from first row, and other streaming sites. For some reason that doesn't happen with playon. It might be worth trying playon if you don't like league pass and have the ability to stream content through a playstation, wii, xbox or roku.

Sidenote: How is the Roku 3? What kind of free channels do they have that are similar to the Halmark channel. I want to get one for my Grandma but might also get one. It's between Roku3 and WD media live because you can hook it up to a portable hard drive. Also are the channels different between the different Rokus?

I just got it but I think it is great. I am using it with an Ethernet connection and haven't had any issues with buffering like I do with my older roku. Also the hd quality is much better then my older roku. If you get a roku my advice is to check out playon. There is a ton of content there. Playon does not broadcast in hd though. I haven't used a lot of the roku specific channels. I do use the twc channel.

Yep, sat down to watch the Bulls Heat game the next day, only to find it wasn't working.

First Knick game of the season was also a joke- was watching the recording only to find a chunk of the 1st or 2nd Q was missing (suddenly we were up about 8 points!), then the whole thing went down and you couldn't watch any games.

I understand there will be technical issues, but I expect some sort of compensation or freebie- I paid for something I'm not getting.

The Bulls-Heat game was on TNT and League Pass isn't allowed to broadcast those games; same thing with games broadcast by ABC and, I think, ESPN. But, NBA on TNT simulcasts their games here for free.

I have Dish TV and I am now getting LP three years in a row - I grew tired of waiting for the Knicks to play on national TV. Living in Ohio and beinga Knicks fan isn't working out well. Plus I am heavy into fanatasy basketball this year so I need to keep up :)

Here LP has almost all games in standard AND HD.

I did the free trial. Not bad to just watch the condensed games the day after (since I'm in Europe).
But it is not worth the price for us EU guys.

NBA needs to allow us to watch a game at a time and for a decent price. The only real chance is an afternoon game due to the time difference.

The NBA is pretty stupid, just like the music and movie industry. The reason people pirate is because there are no choices given.
