AND the Nets lost to the Cavs. Sounds like a good night.
Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

Exactly. Its early in the season. Weird stuff happens. Important thing is to get wins. The Knicks and pretty much every team in the league will blow at least 2-3 20 pt leads this year.

The Heat started with a back to back and Milawaukee's dead deer aren't really a basketball team. Especially after Sanders picked up the quick fouls.

The refs were liberal with those TOs. Chandler beasted. Shump showed brilliance in the 1st half. Love Metta...want to see more of him. Bargs made me cringe -- hope he gets it together. Knicks pgs got a little overzealous reaching for steals -- it worked in the first half and they paid for it quite a bit in the second half. A Win is a Win. Miami lost to Philly. Brooklyn lost to Cleveland. Pacers are down 7 in the 4th. Good night.
This is the Randle.

We'll see how we look tomorrow on a back-to-back against the Bulls.

Bucks went to the matchup zone and the Knicks struggled. This needs to be corrected asap because its a copy cat league so the Knicks can expect many opponents to go zone to slow them down.

Pretty mortal numbers. Didn't get to 30 mins and had so-so games. Deron isn't right either, yet they get all the hype. Whatever.

Only caught bits and pieces but I turned just in time to see Pierce miss a game winning attempt. Brought a tear to my eye.

I, of course, missed the game because of work. My main question is did Bargnani play as bad as his box score looks?

Wow what was up with all those turnovers in general and especially the ones by Prigioni? We gotta have someone who can lead the team when Felton is out. Priggs also has to take his open shots. Its only one game so all the flaws are correctable.

UGLY ass game but I'll take the W. We're 1-0, Nets are 0-1. That's the bottom line. Better to pull out games like these than piss 'em away...The whole problem tonight was guys just threw the towel in at the half and put it on cruise control way too early -- they do it all the time. Ya can't do that, even in your own gym. Any other team -- the friggin' Bobcats, whoever -- and we loose this one up 25. We ran into a team down 2 PGs and their starting center out with foul trouble early. Knicks should consider themselves lucky.

One of the better defensive games I've ever seen Tyson Chandler play man, honestly. Dude really showed up tonight defensively. A guy that size (7'1") with his athleticism and reach SHOULD block a few shots every game...It's always been difficult for me to accept hearing "well, Tyson's not a shot-blocker." F that...Get into guys and challenge EVERYTHING. PROTECT THAT RIM!! Gotta give him credit -- he did tonight. Can't remember him having a big block game like that before for us..It made all the difference...A lot of guys played good D, esp. in that 1st half. Just can't fold the tent & board the plane for Chicago at the half -- we still had an entire 2nd half to play!!! Disgusting to relinquish a big lead like that, esp. at home..

Like Dagger said -- hopefully we're not happy with this 2nd half meltdown at all and play like it tomorrow in Chicago.

Back to back part of the game. NBA champs lost to a team thats purposely tanking.

Good post. Agree. Very interested to see what Tyson does tomorrow.

Yeah man, he continued to look outta wack. Just not comfortable out there at all. I know he had a good defensive play here, a nice pass there but that's not what we're looking for. Let's keep it absolutely real -- we need this guy to be a primary offensive weapon for us. Right now he looks timid & passive on the offensive end. I wish he was a 'gimmie the ****ing ball' type of guy but that's just not what I see. That may not be his personality. Wish he was much more aggressive and played with a little more pride and spirit...A more aggressive, 'into it' type of player would've gotten himself outta this funk already. He better find it before this city swallows him whole...Telling you.

Beno has to clean up his game. I like the movement when they were not turning the ball over. Also, Bargs should never be the center without Martin in there.
