there will be excuses and justifications... just no explanations.
knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Erm... Amar'e is on a minute restriction and has played a total of 12 mins in the Preseason, K-Mart is likewise and has played 8mins and has a mysterious ankle condition. JR is suspended. Tim Hardaway Jr has a flu thing (watch out Tyson!). Bargs is still out of shape. Shump has been battling a variety of ailments and suffers from knee soreness. Felton has a hamstring issue.

I don't think we'll be blowing anyone out for a few weeks, but I still want the win!

So you don't believe in justifications? That's an odd stance!

I vote this thread either gets updated with cheerleader pics or a different thread with cheerleader pics gets stickied

what is it that you claim to be doing 99% of the time with this team?

You seem to do the opposite. It seems like your stance is 'x should happen, full stop' I don't really get the logic behind that (I guess there quite literally is no logic). You're obviously someone who enjoys thinking and researching basketball stats, so I don't get why you suddenly flip a switch and declare reasoning as irrelevant. I'm always curious as to why things happen or why they don't, and peoples theories behind them- things are rarely black and white. I just don't get any satisfaction form saying 'x should happen' and then go into a tirade when it invariably doesn't.

Take last nights Bulls/Heat game- I'd rather discuss why the Bulls got whooped, than just "oh they should have beaten them, they are losers now!"

we pick up where we left off. The rotating carosel of crappy role players around Melo, and I fully expect a win and him to have a big performance.

At this point his constant critics can go wank each other. The guy is coming off a monster year and IMO did everything you could ask of him. 3rd in MVP voting (had same votes as Kobe and CP3 combined). All star. Scoring title. Most wins in a decade. First time advancing in the playoffs in longer. It seems his biggest flaw is he isnt Durant or Lebron and nobody thought we were getting that. The results were there. Same tonight. People will complain he didnt pass enough when he scores 35 on 14-30 shooting but this roster really sucks. It reminds me of a Scott Layden team + Carmelo. No 2nd scorer. The PGs are terrible (hows Jeremy Lin looking now). After watching Chandler lay down so Hibbert could use him like a drunken prom date Im down on him. Ive always disliked JR. Now we have two of them on the roster, and my once favorite player Amare is shot, done and toast.

One guy... one guy we have to put the damn ball in the bucket.

I'm curious to see how Melo plays this season- was he at the peak of his game last year (I agree, it was a monster year)? Or will he play at the same level this season? I worry about the impact of him not being able to play basketball over the summer due to his shoulder rehab. Will Shump step up or will he just have a good offensive game once every 5 games or so? Can Felton step up? Hopefully someone can!

And I want to see Tyson redeem himself, starting tonight!

somebody is going to have to step up this season, i think your going a step over board with the scott laydan ERA, there's no clearence witherspoon (10mill), or shannon (8mill), or eisley (6mill) not by a long shot.

2 of these players need to have a great yr

He's looking like a guy who averaged 2 points and 2 assists in last years playoffs and just got demoted to a bench role in favor of a guy who was playing overseas a year ago.

Jeremy Lin just got benched in Houston. I understand that he's better than what we got but I wouldn't call him an answer either

I wouldn't want him back. Lin seems to put more effort into marketing himself than improving his game, and making excuses.

I think his "aww shucks" shtick is a marketing gimmick he learned through Harvard Business School. I don't blame him for wanting to get paid but be real about it

I agree. Lin has talked a lot about how he was held back by closed minded people. Let's say he's right, who is holding him back now?
