They want to develop Len, get draft choice and Gortat can help Wiz putting Nene at forward where he is much better.

Wiz will contend for a playoff spot. OKA4 is done for the sesaon. Gortat is an expiring who I doubt Suns were going to resign.

Trade makes sense.

I agree. Hopla has done a nice job with guys who struggle with their shot. Was Marshall a lottery pick just a year ago?

Yeah, Marshall was a lottery pick and thought to be a guy that would assume PG duties once Nash retired. The knock on him is that he is a terrible shooter, subpar defender and is extremely slow/flat footed. His one virtue is his ability to run an offense, which was good enough to make him a standout before the draft. As much as his other shortcomings are unfortunate, they haven't stopped guys like Andre Miller, Mark Jackson, (maybe Pablo Prigioni) and Sam Cassell from making excellent careers for themselves.

Yikes- Suns gave up on him quickly! I rememebr when he was drafted, a lot of writers were saying they had their Nash replacement! It's odd the got rid of him after only a year or so- PGs take a few years to develop.

He was a poor fit for what they did. The Suns had one of the fastest paced offenses in the league and Marshall was slower than paint drying in summer.
