Would Kobe leave the Lakers too pursue a championship with the Knicks?

Kobe has nothing to prove in Los Angeles. They suck big time and have no roster to support an aging Kobe.

This summer the Lakers have money to sign who? With all the glamor, why would lebron or Carmelo leave to play in Kobe shadow? He's old now.....

The biggest prize in all of American sports is to be apart of a team that brings the ny Knicks a championship. No other start had done it. Kobe admires Carmelo and he is probably the only player he would defer to.

Kobe is an ego maniac. His legacy would be unmatched if he helped bring us a title.

Money would not be a factor in this type of decision. He would come and play for peanuts.

He's talked highly of ny for his entire career. He knows the history. He knows how ill this would be.

..... just something to Dream about

He already said he wants to get paid. Only way i could see him doing this is if he signed a large 1-year contract next summer, then decided to come to New York the following year on a multi-year deal.

I can see rolling with Melo and Kobe in 2015 if Kobe has anything left in the tank. It would be very Knicks like to get an aging star like Kobe at 40 after striking out on every free agent. Not happening if Melo takes the max tho

I can't see Kobe leaving LA, especially at this point in time, especially into a scenario where he wouldn't be "the man"(see exhibit A: "Dwightmare").

He's already told the franchise he's played for for the better part of two decades that they're not getting a discount. I don't think he's deadset on being the NY savior to change his tune.

The only place I can see Kobe jetting to (literally) is Italy.

I think you have a funny idea of a "dream" scenario.
