In an interview with ESPN radio Monday, Mills confirmed he won’t be hiring Thomas. Instead, Mills touted Thomas for the vacancy as executive directors of the Players Association. Mills hired Thomas during his first stint at the Garden.

I don't think that was a wise thing to say. Jim Dolan has ultimate decision making power. I can imagine Dolan is now thinking of ways to get Thomas back precisely because Mills said this. Mills also probably shortened his tenure by 6 mos to a year. Can you imagine him having to go into Dolan's office to explain himself? Not pretty.
Rose is not the answer.

Isiah is not coming back... Mills can do much better.
