If everyone squatted, no need to worry about the "New world order"!

No guns, just glutes!

Nah, Squatting as you get older puts way to much pressure on your knees and back. You can keep your legs strong my running a mile and a half as fast as you can 5 days a week and speed walking for 2 hours on the 6th day rest repeat.

squats performed properly with a good weight will never put too much pressure on anything, because if you've been training for a good part of your life you have the muscle in place to handle it.

i'm not saying guys should go out and squat 3 times their body weight. that's an extreme, that's for competition, that's a different level. and you'll never hurt yourself working up to something very reasonable (and at the same time very impressive), like 1.5 times body weight.

a 150lb man squatting 225 will give this man enough general strength to lift things that make him look like superman to 95% of the people he's ever going to be around

Actually muscle memory has nothing to do with cartiledge tendons and bone. Muscle is the last thing to betray you as u age--but these other things---they will.
