GM's get fired when they do a bad job at what they are told to do. In the Leonsis era He wanted a super young club and Earnie was rumored to have warned him its a bad idea. Owner wanted it. They sucked, Now they are doing it with a blend. Now its on Earnie. Abe Polin was rumored to have been very loyal to a fault to his players even when advised otherwise.

This is how GM's stick sometimes. More times than not they get fired for selling a plan to an owner then not able to fulfil it. When an owner is driving the ship its usually on them. AKA, Cuban, Glenn Taylor, Heinsly in Memphis, and Jerry Buss are a few examples.

Not a great site but you can look up a player and see how they came to team and what assets they gave up.

Great tool sometimes for not looking stupid. The Layden and Checketts deletion kind of stinks because it would have a resource for UKers to look at history correct.
