Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

It definitely wouldn't be a mistake to give it to Earl. He always plays well for the Knicks when he gets minutes and they need his size. Tyson typically misses 10+ games and has caught the flu and hurt his neck the past two years at playoff time. If the Knicks could protect him more and limit his minutes some so that he was healthy for the playoffs it could make a huge difference. The teams in the east have a lot of size. The Knicks need a big and Barron certainly has shown that he is capable as a knick.
I'm tired,I'm tired, I'm so tired right now......Kristaps Porzingis 1/3/18

My God in Heaven -- get this done already!!!!! This dude's a GOOD PLAYER! We've seen him on display 2 separate stints now...Excellent article btw -- "the source" (most likely his agent) is RIGHT ON THE MONEY. Lemme just say that everything he went through to get here for that last regular season game -- leaving his family vacation, flight to DC, trip to NY in the middle of the night, workout for the Knicks at 6 the next morning, then to get almost 20 rebs that game --- AWESOME. Just wanna throw it out there that I appreciate that. He offers plus size, tangible skill (specifically rebounding) and EXCELLENT insurance for Chandler in the middle -- and HE WANTS TO BE HERE!!!! Been sayin' it for weeks on end now -- they're NUTS if they don't bring this guy back. Man, would I feel so much better with him in the fold. VERY GLAD to hear there's mutual interest. GET IT DONE!!

I'd say it sounds more like his agent is trying to get the Knicks to sign him. This summer it just seems like Zwerling is willing to write whatever any player agent tells him to.

Earl Barron should have been a knick 4 years ago. Dude is like the 2013 Herb williams if they sign him.

The more I think about it the more it makes sense to keep resign Barron. He plays his position hard and he doesn't need the ball. But he can shoot and finish. Plus he's been here before and produced. He's like a gid luck charm

Would prefer Ivan Johnson, but wouldn't be mad at Earl the Barron.

Isn't Earl Barron 7 foot even?

Steve Novak is a legit 6'10 and Barron is clearly taller.

I mean why not have both? Cut the project that doesn't fit this team anyway and add Johnson AND Barron -- two guys that can jump right in and help if need be. Two superior frontcourt players that could help us if called upon. Can we say that about Tyler? I don't think so. If we ever kept Tyler then had to play him extended mins for whatever reason, could we survive the growing pains? The fouling out in 10 mins because he's inexperienced, raw and doesn't have the refs' respect? Ya think Woody wants to deal with any of that? No. Not on this win-now team, and I wouldn't blame him...Unless a guy like IJ wants China for a few hundred grand more, we could get this guy if we pursued him like we wanted him (Barron, meanwhile, wants the Knicks bad and is just waiting by the phone)...We could have both...I mean WTF are we talking about here?!? Load this thing up 1-15. Grunny's job ain't complete yet..Don't settle on 2 projects to round out this roster (Leslie and Tyler) that probably won't play & won't develop here (Toure Murry feels different to me btw -- that kid's skilled on both ends and is obviously a step up from "project" status). If we can do it, I'm all in favor of sending Leslie to Europe to develop while maintaining his rights like some are suggesting...Sounds good if we can pull that off (Leslie would have to be agreeable to something like that first, no?). If not, target and get the better players that can help us if we needed to tap into the depth for whatever reason. Makes perfect sense to me.

If we could retain the youngun's rights somehow, then I feel you on landing both vets, especially for a win now ball club.

I think Tyler can do what Earl can do.
Sounds like the Earl will take the 15th spot
