who should we get for that last spot?

im shocked that Ivan still isnt getting any offers! hes thinking about going back overseas. sign him!

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

DJ White. Think I like him even better than Ivan Johnson. Similar body type, skill level, etc..White's J is better and I think that separates him. If we added White I'd actually find time for him -- I think he's that good (he'd be ahead of K-Mart on my team).

I also believe they need to step back and take a long look at CJ Leslie. Like everyone else, I immediately penciled him in on the 15-man roster but after summer league, I dunno now. He needs a lot of work. May not be the keeper we all thought he'd be. Then again, was he playing hurt? Was he not 100% physically? Probably still worth keeping -- just trying to decide if a legit C type like Earl Barron or Hammadi might be a wiser choice...SF's very crowded -- there's Melo and Artest then Shump and THJ can all play 3 too, the latter 2 youngsters are currently much higher up on the depth chart than Leslie...Difficult to see where Leslie fits in, even 2, 3, 4 years from now. Meanwhile, if Chandler ever went down, we lose our only legit rebounding/defensive C (I wouldn't trust Jeremy Tyler as far as I can throw him at this point -- dude redefines the word 'raw'). If we had Barron or Hammadi, I think we could survive the loss of Chandler and come close to replacing his size/rebounding/interior defense. Without a guy like that, we're looking at undersized K-Mart or STAT having to play center full-time. Just some food for thought..

I have been wondering the same thing about Leslie. The Knicks really need a big or two. I think Leslie probably spends the year in the dleague and the Knicks really liked him in the draft. Not sure if they shouldn't cut their losses if the right big is available.

Would love Ivan. Just don't see where Ivan would get minutes w/ Tyson, KMart, Amar'e, Melo and Bargs all in the fold at the 4 and 5 (assuming Tyler is out of the rotation). Ivan averaged 15 mpg last yr.

Agreed about needing a legit backup C, though KMART was pretty great last yr. I'm not soo worried about a big's height, but moreso about his strength to keep guys boxed out and from pushing them down in the post, so I think Ivan would be great in those areas.

I actually don't know about another Big. I'd rather see the Knicks take Murry. It's the 15th man! We really have to put things in perspective. This team is DEEEEEP! It's highly unlikely that there will be minutes for another big IMO.
Tyson, AB, STAT, KMart, Tyler and MWP. Adding Johnson can't hurt but i'd rather add Murry.

Yeah, he signed with Toronto. I'm all for signing Crazy Ivan. What we lack in frontcourt size, we can make up with bone crushing defense lol

I don't trust Amar'e or K-Mart to not go down with an injury. We need a PF/C, preferably the best rebounder available!

Earl Barron is still listed on the roster until his rights are renounced. It's time to make him official. He shoots, he rebounds, he's tall.

Also, you have to factor in Tyson plays 65 games or less annually so another big is pretty important. I would guess that the guy they sign would get a lot of minutes.

Anyone thinking trade?

I'm always down for a good trade. Knicks need a big and they do have tremendous depth already. I think they could put a package together. ..... for who I dunno

Sign Haddadi so that Indy, Bulls and to a lesser degree the Heat, don't start looking forward to grabbing every board from us and abusing us on the inside , again

No to Ivan Johnson

4. Ovidijus Galdikas is a real Lithuanian big man. He's 7'2" and 24 years old. He plays for BC Siauliai in Lithuania. He's not, as far as I can tell, on the national team, so he's not necessarily occupied at the moment. Here's a highlight tape. He's big!
